CREW files a prostitution complaint against Louisiana Sen. David Vitter

Louisiana--Do I think this is going to go anywhere? Probably not, but I assume the intended result is to remind Louisiana voters he's a piece-of-shit and a liar who can't keep his dick in his pants until the 2010 elections.

What's interesting is that they're going for Davey's law license as well as punitive measures for--I don't know, nothing much--breaking the law on several occasions when he went to see prostitutes, and probably in more than one state. The FBI probably caught him in some wiretaps down in the big NO, frequenting the Canal Street Madam's brothel, but that's a story for another time.

The director of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) said it is time for Vitter to step up to the plate and answer for accusations stemming from the "D.C. Madam Scandal." In 2007, Vitter's name appeared on the client list of D.C. Madam Deborah Jeane Palfrey. According to CREW, Vitter's law license should be revoked for allegedly violating the state's rules of professional conduct for lawyers.
"Since that's a crime and Louisiana rules provide that committing any crime is a subject matter appropriate for discipline, we thought it was time for the Louisiana bar to take a look at Mr. Vitter's conduct," said Melanie Sloan, executive director of CREW. This is actually impressive, going for his law license. It could hamper his ability to make a living after his sordid and unfortunate time in public office. Louisiana should be ashamed, but then, so should Indiana with Dan Burton and his own issues with illicit sex, possibly treason.
But never underestimate the greed, shallowness, and stupidity of Louisianans, they could just as easily reelect him. Vitter's office issued a pathetic statement in response to CREW's move that utilizes that old tactic that "when the truth isn't on your side, you attack the credibility of the messenger." This week, Vitter and his cronies are taking this adage to heart and acting on it. Never mind the bullshit about Vitter wearing diapers--Jeane never confirmed this, and she probably wouldn't have known anyway, she was more concerned about making money.
The real issue is: should the rich and their employees like Vitter be above the law? For the rich, rednecks and the religiously insane, the answer is an unqualified "yes." We might just have that second American Civil War yet. You contributed to driving a disturbed woman to her death. How does that feel Senator Vitter? Do you know how weird and depraved that is and how it looks? To say that you're a pathetic asshole would be an understatement.

DLA Piper and Sibel Edmonds' revelations about Dennis Hastert

WWW--It's been several weeks now since the sworn deposition of FBI whistleblower Sibel Edmonds, and she's been doing a lot of talking. About whom, you might ask? About former House Speaker Dennis Hastert, Indiana Rep. Dan Burton (can't control the...you know), an unidentified Democratic Rep. who's been compromised and blackmailed in a lesbian affair to aid the Turkish government, and a whole lot more.

Most of the players are Republicans, but this time we're going to get some Democratic fish in the barrel. In one case--it looks like Burton and a few others involved--nuclear secrets were being sold to Turkey, Pakistan, and a few others that are on terror-lists as "renegade nations." They were also listed by the last president as being part of an "axis of evil." You do the math.

Burton's office and someone representing him has been around, but there have been other players. This exchange from the deposition transcript before Congress is pretty extraordinary and raised some flags for me on DLA Piper's recent visit to the site:

... Q: Now, are you --- has it come to your attention that some members of Congress once they've left Congress like Dennis Hastert engaged in lobbying for the Turkish government?

A: Dennis Hastert is known publicly. Stephen Solarz is known publicly. He used to be a Congressman, and then he became lobbyist as soon as he left both for Israel and Turkey.

Bob Livingston, he within a year after he left Congress, he became lobbyist for the government of Turkey, and he is registered under Foreign Agent's Registration Act. But then there are people who work for these lobbying firms who are not the top, but they have received their share while they were working, whether they are in Pentagon.

One person was Defense Intelligence Agency person, Dana Bauer, and now she works for Bob Livingston, but this individual, Ms. Bauer, did a lot of favors and illegal favors to --- for government of Turkey and others, and then was hired by Livingston and put on a big salary to represent Turkish government.

So it's not only top tier of the lobbying firm, but then the people who work for them later and the various layers of those people.

Q: How about Richard Gephardt? You know, who he is, right?

A: Yes, I do.

Q: And do you have any information about whether or not he took money from Turkish organizations?

A: No, I just have (unintelligible) information based on what I read that he joined the lobby firm for --- that represents Turkey, the lobby that Mr. Hastert got hired, but I don't have any information.

Q: For the firm called DLA Piper?

A: Yes.

Q: Law firm. Are you aware of them lobbying for the Turkish government?

A: Yes.

Q: Let me give you a hypothetical and just get your understanding of what might be going on because it's particularly relevant to our case.

You have a hypothetical Congresswoman from State X. Her district has no Turkish population to speak of or Armenian population to speak of. She's the largest recipient of Turkish PAC money in the 2008 election cycle. All right?

She meets with Livingston and Rogers or Livingston Group when they're escorting members of the Turkish parliament to a reception. She receives fact sheets from the Livingston Group talking about Turkish relations; goes to luncheons in honor of the Turkish Foreign Minister, and she opposes Armenian genocide resolution and, in fact, refuses to even recognize the genocide as a historical fact. ...

Curiouser and curiouser, that. The soon-to-be-identified congresswoman is done, toast. Once her identity is out there and it's known that she's being blackmailed by the Turkish intelligence community and their government, that's it, she can no longer discharge her duties. This is coming very soon, and she's not going to be the only one marching out of Congress and into a courtroom.

Did I mention that it appears Indiana Rep. Dan Burton has been caught screwing around on his wife again, this time getting his dick caught in the gears of the Turkish government? Yes, he did. That's right folks, elected officials are taking bribes, being proffered a piece-of-ass, and even promised all kinds of things like a kingdom in hell, but most of all, they're being blackmailed and turned to spy on the rest of us, against our common interests.

That's treason, and it's not a joke or a laughing matter. Ask your local news outlet, paper, CNN, Fox, and all the rest of the mainstream media, why they're not covering the Sibel Edmonds story. Is there a connection to the DC Madam scandal? Could be. She and her defense counsel--Montgomery Blair Sibley--issued subpoenas to the DIA and the CIA, both institutions refused to accept them. It's a good thing they had Federal District (and former FISA court) Judge James Robertson looking out for their interests. It seems protecting reputations of criminals in high office is more important than national security, which makes it more than a little ironic when they invoke it in court to avoid exposure. That's not merely corruption, it's a dysfunctional political culture, a system in free fall.

On the John Edwards sinning scandal

A'murka--Is this underwhelming or what? He didn't break-the-law like Sen. David Vitter when he engaged in his serial-solicitation of WHORES, and he didn't violate any security clearances, but the GOP is just itching to get some hits in somewhere, anywhere.

Yet nobody really gives-a-shit with the price of gasoline (our temporary reprieve isn't going to last), a worthless war in the Middle East, the Republic of Georgia being (re)invaded by Russia, and everything else that's actually of importance.

The fact stands: it's nobody's business, but somebody found out and blabbed. He broke no laws, and if he violated anyone's trust that matters (comments to the press and others don't count), it was his wife's. That's where it ends. The rest is utter bullshit.

Would I have ever voted for Edwards as a presidential candidate? Nope. He had problems in his platform and he voted to authorize the Bush administration's use of force in Iraq. That's unforgivable, though his voting record on social spending isn't as bad as most in the Senate. Then, there's the other guy: Obama's just lucky he wasn't in the Senate at the time (2002), that's it. Otherwise, he would have voted likewise and allowed the Bush administration a free-hand. Well, OK, he already has in continually voting for war funding, but that's another story altogether.

John Edwards' tryst: a non-story, I could care less (OK, I lied).

If you can say anything at all with any certainty, it's that filmmaker Rille Hunter got too close to her subject, an "Edwards fetish" if-you-will. It's doubtful that her documentary is worth watching.

I'm not a Democrat, incidentally. Oh sure, I'm registered as one, and I've only voted GOP once in a local election in Muncie, Indiana, but Nader has my vote. The Democratic political machine there was well known for being totally corrupt and their candidate--a former sheriff--had been cold busted embezzling from public funds. The Republican wasn't attached to the establishment there in any respect.

Some asshole told me at the time: "He won't accomplish anything, he doesn't know anybody downtown." And? So they don't accomplish their usual agendas--this is bad because...of what? I will decline to vote for any candidate running for Indiana's 2nd District seat in the House, they all have to go.

The paternity test: it's likely that the child is his. Do I care? Ask the GOP's Dan Burton, he had a love child going back to the 1980s when he issued 1,000 subpoenas against former President Bill Clinton about ten-years-ago. Another Midwestern slimeball named Larry Flynt outed him, thanks-in-part to the maverick investigator, Dan Moldea (he thinks Sirhan Sirhan alone, murdered RFK, a laugh riot).

Somehow, some way (because of money, natch), the very corrupt, stupid, and ugly Burton's still in office. I doubt this is going to hurt John Edwards that much, and he and others need to be pointing-out all the other offenders who are still in (and out of, like Mark Foley) office. And that's exactly what you're reading right now...

SITE METER--While John McCain and Twitt Romney tag-team on Barack Obama today, someone at Eli Lilly is still very concerned about former CEO Randall Tobias's association with the now-deceased DC Madam, Jeane Palfrey. Tobias now runs the Indianapolis Airport Authority, which contrary to what right-wing pundits are saying, is a major step down from his post as head of USAID at the State Department.

Yes, the disgraced Tobias was once a Deputy Secretary of State, but now he runs an airport frequently noted to have brothels ringing the area around it...uh, did I just write that? Hey, he has to get laid somehow. He and Dan Burton have to get some "leg," give them a break. Mark Foley, anyone?

Republican New York Rep. "Vito" Fossella's Love Child and His Problems with Drunk Driving

"I have had a relationship with Laura Fay [Ed.-Who he called first when he was in-trouble with the incident.], with whom I have a three-year-old daughter. My personal failings and imperfections have caused enormous pain to the people I love and I am truly sorry. While I understand that there will be many questions, including those about my political future, making any political decisions right now are furthest from my mind. Over the coming weeks and months, I will to continue to do my job and I will work hard to heal the deep wounds I have caused." --Soon-to-be former NY GOP Rep. Vito Fossella on Thursday. New York State--Where is M.A.D.D. on this one? You have to love it when dozens of Republican incumbents who keep authorizing funding for the war and blocking impeachment end-up like this. It has to be said again-and-again: it's a bad time to be a Republican voter who's a true believer, the cognitive-dissonance must be excruciating.

Like the adulterous Dan Burton who issued former President Bill Clinton over 1,000 subpoenas during his own sex scandal, Fossella is busted. This time, the AP couldn't ignore the fact that he's a GOP incumbent in the coverage. The exposure came from the representative being pulled-over for running a red light, then it was discovered by the police at the scene that he was driving drunk. The rest is now becoming political history:

Fossella's personal life came apart at the seams after police stopped him for running a red light last week and charged him with drunken-driving. The arrest fueled scrutiny which led to revelations of an affair with a former Air Force officer, and a 3-year-old daughter with her. ("New York Rep. The article isn't entirely clear on what caused the chain-reaction of exposure, but who cares? Fossella said that he was going to see his daughter who was "sick"--he forgot to say which one. It's great for the common good when a Republican--or anyone abusing office--gets caught in wrongdoing. It's possible that the soon-to-be former representative will stay in office until July 1st, simply leaving the seat empty until the November elections cycle. The GOP is likely to lose the seat.

According to a source close to Huffington Post on the Hill, Fossella cried to House Chaplain Daniel P. Coughlin on the floor of the House this week over the debacle he created for himself, his party, his constituents...oh yeah, and his legally recognized family. So much for family values. What's very interesting is where Fossella was pulled-over: Alexandria, Virginia, stomping-ground for numerous lobbyists, government contractors, and HQ for Christopher D. Baker's Shirlington Limousine. This could be nothing, but...

Alexandria's also where Ret. Col. Ronald Roughead of SAIC lives. Colonel Roughead was found by this site in the phone records of the deceased DC Madam, Deborah Jeane Palfrey. The New York Times states that Fossella is a close ally of Vice President, Richard Cheney, who was named by the DC Madam as a former client to this writer. It's unknown whether she--or Larry Flynt and Dan Moldea--could corroborate this assertion or not. Fossella was arrested the day Palfrey's body was found, hanged, in Tarpon Springs, Florida, a town just outside of Orlando.

The representative from New York City said back on May 3rd that he wasn't resigning, though it's virtually assured at this writing. His decision is expected by Monday. Like mainstream Democrats, Fossella has been a staunch supporter of the Bush administration's failed war in Iraq, as well on sundry other issues. He's definitely not bullish on social programs, just adultery and siring bastards.

The timing couldn't have been better. With the recent death-by-suicide of the DC Madam, and the Senate Ethics Committee refusing to investigate Senator David Vitter, another shoe has dropped. Vitter's home life must be hell, which is appropriate.

Party officials and strategists who would not speak publicly to avoid interceding in the case said the general preference was for Mr. Fossella to not seek re-election in November but to finish his term and avoid yet another special election in potentially difficult political territory. But many said they doubted he could survive politically and that it might be better for him and his colleagues if he quit rather than have his conduct become part of the campaign.

Representative John A. Boehner of Ohio, the Republican leader, said Mr. Fossella had to make his own choice. “I think Mr. Fossella is going to have some decisions to make over the weekend,” Mr. Boehner told reporters. “And I would hope that and, frankly, expect that this is a decision between he, his family and his constituents.” ("Fossella Admits to Extramarital Affair," AP, 05.08.2008)

Even with the nearly week-long delay in the exposure of Fossella and his mistress--former Air Force Lt. Colonel Laura Fay--the damage to the GOP is going to be compounded. This will virtually ensure Fossella to opt for resignation, a belated ending to a political career that began in 1997, back when Americans could still afford gasoline and milk. Score another victory for the common good.

What's troubling is that Fossella's adulterous behavior is getting more attention when he should be taking the greatest heat for breaking-the-law for driving drunk, and possibly lying to uniformed Alexandria Police. A commenter at The New York Times "City Room" put it best regarding the Republicans and what they really are:

I couldn't have stated it better myself. Here then, is the true face of the GOP, and where she's been for several generations. This isn't the party of Lincoln. What are they going to do with a more "enlightened" America? The race-baiting isn't working anymore, and there's nary-a-Red to bait. Terrorism isn't bringing the dividends it used to. The same goes with gay marriage and abortion. Nobody cares. It's time to put the GOP out of our misery, splintering them into legitimate, law-abiding parties. There's no reason to stop there--the Democratic Party is in great need of the same.

A question keeps nagging this writer: How exactly did the congressman and the Lt. Colonel meet? Was she moonlighting as a prostitute, like in the case of Lt. Commander Rebecca Dickinson who worked for the DC Madam? Or is she like Tammy McFadden, a former Air Force nursing student who serviced Brent Wilkes at a sleepover in Hawaii with convicted former GOP Rep. Randy "Duke" Cunningham? Some have even said that Democratic congressman Daniel Inouye was part of their visit. Perhaps "prostitute" is just a matter of semantics in political marriages...

Quit delegating this to someone else and start reaching-out and explaining what you know about her case, she could use your testimony for her defense. You can make this right by doing something proper and correct for once. You can heal this nation. If you know anything about Senator Vitter's possibly breach of his security clearance on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, you should start talking about it. You can be that good man you once thought you could be.

Dan Quayle (the Quayles and Bush clans own substantial shares in the corporation): kiss-my-ass. Describing you as a moron is an insult to morons everywhere. You are a failure and a disgrace as a human being, and an embarrassment to Indiana and the nation. It's sad that you reproduced, but there it is.
