GEORGE ROMERO'S "DIARY OF THE DEAD" BEING FINISHED IN POST-PRODUCTION!

PITTSBOIGH--Speaking-of the living dead (no, not the GOP), George Romero has finished another zombie flick. It's a sort-of "prequel" to Day of the Dead where a group of film students get caught-up in the onslaught of the risers. Details are scanty, and it's possible that Romero is going to opt to release it direct-to-DVD so he can maintain creative control over the project. Like Land of the Dead (which I liked a lot!), it was filmed in Canada to keep production-costs low. Shooting wrapped in November of 2006, so we can expect it to surface this year! Check the myspace page, there are some video blogclips there that are cool, the film looks pretty good.
