And so, the Palfrey Trial Begins...

Washington D.C.--I'm as interested as anyone in the outcome of this trial. What will it bring? Nobody knows. But we know that Senator David Vitter has been ordered to appear under the rule of law. He must appear, and at least plead the Fifth amendment as his counsel has said he will. This is going to hurt him, so it's possible he might testify. Nobody knows. Voir dire began today. For a version of the whole story up-to-now, do a search. It's going to be interesting to see what comes out of this trial, it really will.

  1. Sadly this has become the Vitter trial as much as anything. Personally I am not for or against him, though obviously he was exceedingly hypocritical. What bothers me is the number of people who will be dragged through the mud BY BOTH SIDES in this trial. The statute of limitations for many of the women and clients is past, some have been given immunity, but they can't be prosecuted we will still watch them be humiliated and their lives ruined for no good reason at all. Just for the egos of the two sides and the Romanesque "Entertainment" of the masses.
