A (trick) question to readers: What is a society for?

J-7--The winner gets my eternal respect and gratitude, though I already know the answer. Like Frank Zappa (RIP), the few classes I thought were worth paying-attention to in High School were civics/social studies and history. The rest was mostly bullshit to flog obedience into all of us, we all know this. It was also to destroy our imagination, but we have the media for that too. Mainstream conservatives (not traditional ones, a species that is virtually extinct) who can answer this question honestly become honorary, de facto members of the human race.
