REMEMBER TO FORGET: GAS HOVERING AROUND $3.29 IN SOUTH BEND/MICHIANA

SOUTH BEND, INDIANA--Time to get some gas, eh? Now we're conditioned to feel that $3.29-a-gallon isn't that bad. Forget that there's plenty of oil in the world's reserves, and forget that we're already paying-for security in the Persian Gulf with naval patrols. Also, forget that most of the oil multinationals are purposefully refining less oil to keep prices high. Indeed, forget that President Bush's wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are being used as an excuse to gouge prices even-further--in fact, forget all of human history, your name, your identity, your family, and everything else. Congratulations: you're now a Republican (or an unquestioning, lockstep Democrat). You may-as-well enlist after that, your life is over. Forget it.
