It seemed poetic, didn't it? The ruins of Detroit and the rest of America now needed to be protected once again from rich Nigerian tards with a screw loose (definitely not Fela Kuti material) and Gulf state professionals (easily indoctrinated with a middle-class education), and this would then require things like a "Department of Homeland Security for the Department of Homeland Security," it being that corrupt and worthless government institution created by "anti-government conservatives" inspired by the laughably sad likes of Grover Norquist. Thanks for the inaction with FEMA during Katrina. Point taken: government doesn't work...when you're in charge.

Yes, Washington D.C. really is Hollywood for ugly, stupid weaklings, and a more byzantine route to sex hasn't existed since the Mandarins. It's called "dysfunctional" for reason.

We're told with a straight face by Republicans, pundits (usually the same thing), and even the White House, that this is all serious when it's not. There's nothing serious or even remotely threatening about a retard blowing his balls off on a crowded airliner. This is all that he accomplished. This is the threat of terrorism, creole bourgeois extremists. That's not a very real threat at all. The real threat is how compromised our elected leaders--a euphemism--are to the paymasters in Saudi Arabia and other Persian Gulf states. This is that infinitesimal chance that you'll slip in the shower and break your neck. This is the fear of one's shadow, the time of the hollow men. They will build palaces to this stupidity and this fear that will stand less than a generation, because you can't build a solid foundation on quivering shit.

To be afraid of a gaggle of clowns; to hand over any rights whatsoever over this; to think that the threat of terrorism is especially great and will affect you; is madness. The threat--I repeat--the threat is not real, and the war on terror is theater. No, I don't think this was "planned"--once again, like the events of September 11th, 2001, this is one more case of profound bureaucratic incompetence, piled one-upon-another and opportunism after-the-fact. I repeat: this is not a confirmation that government does not work. It's a confirmation that conservatives and corporatist influence within government do not work, and can never work to protect us or even to provide a livable society. In other words, any State-corporate nexus is the problem, and this comes from the revolving-door of appointees from the corporate world, something this current president has done plenty of, just like the last. Why would he fire all these Bush II appointees when he's the same? Quit fooling yourself.

But if stupid young men blowing their balls off scares you enough to hand over your liberty, you don't deserve any. If you allow the herd to stampede us there without a fight, you don't deserve any. Cowardice comes in many forms, and Americans do plenty of talking and no walking. I could take these bastards on any flight, any time, any day. I am not afraid. Cowards are afraid of their own shadow, and that's exactly what's happening in the American mind (or what's left of it) right now: we know our wars are illegal and immoral and that we have something coming to us. We know we are complicit. This is collective-guilt writ large. Did he blow off your balls, or his?

Why the problems in Uganda? The Congo?

Oil. Both the DRC (The Democratic Republic of Congo) and Uganda (Idi Amin's former stomping ground) are fighting over Lake Alberta's Rukwanzi island, a region where Ireland's Tullow Oil has been doing geological surveys early this year that have discovered between 400 million-to-1 billion barrels of oil, one of those fossil-based substances that we're supposed to be putting behind us to end global warming. Ho hum, there's money at stake, so no dice, the planet stays imperiled so someone can make more money than God. Note the proximity of the Sudan.

The DRC and Uganda have recently stopped their resource/tribal war that raged over most of the last decade and their militaries are now cooperating thanks to...money. The Ugandan military are now stationed in parts of the Eastern Congo fighting against militias there who want autonomy and probably their own piece of the action. In sum, Tullow is just making matters worse and future conflict is all-but-inevitable, like Lt. Col. George Armstrong Custer's 1874 geological survey into the Black Hills that sparked more Indian wars and rapidly consumed him and many of his own troops.

As I wrote, we know how that ended, he had it coming, and history has a way of repeating itself (rendering reincarnation unnecessary). Once they fought Native Americans and now unaccountable power and their representatives fight and pit Africans against one another over valued resources. Similar dynamics are at play in Nigeria where the U.S. has been constructing AFRICOM for future military adventurism, now training Rwandan troops, but it's all driven by greed rather than actual need, capitalism at its worst.

Yet, Tullow's Business unit manager has recently conceded that Sudan is currently off-limits because of political pressure over human rights abuses. There are limits to power--meaning some have limited power:

Asked if the company would work in countries like the Sudan where oil money is suspected of fuelling the war, he said: "There are certain countries we could not work in because of human rights issues and environmental concerns." (AllAfrica.com, 07.01.2009)

But Tullow is a small, independent firm, not a Chevron or a Shell. Their pull is significantly smaller. However, that doesn't mean that they don't want to meddle or that those other oil firms have any such qualms when the ability to do so is present.

With the ever-shrinking supply of oil and China's and India's ever-increasing demands as the factories of the world, it was time to look elsewhere, although it was known that there were oil-deposits in the region long ago.

"We finally found a location outside the Kabwoya Game Reserve. Another reason for the delay is that we found a lot of oil elsewhere. With the discovery of more oil, we have more options to choose from."

Asked why the oil in Uganda was found so late, he said when it was first discovered by Shell in the 1930s, it was considered not significant.

"They were looking for significant finds such as in Nigeria and Saudi-Arabia. But the world has moved on. Now is the time when oil has become scarce and the prices have gone up. So countries like Uganda come into consideration." (ibid)

Now the world (power) "wants" the remaining oil reserves in these African nations, regardless of the grade. Most of the wars of the 20th century were resource wars. The same is likely to be the case in the 21st century, imperiling the future of the species along with the directly-related effects of global warming.

And now we have the arrest and charges of murder against two Norwegian mercenaries who were in the DRC, ostensibly to set up their own private security firm. Both are former members of the Norwegian military, possibly from an elite unit. Private Military Herald is reporting some very curious facts about the Norwegian duo of Tjostolov Moland and Joshua French:

Evidence seized recently at the apartment the two men shared in Uganda could play a large role n the eventual outcome of the trial. During the police raid authorities found Norwegian military ID cards, counterfeit United Nations hats, employee ID badges with both the correct and false names of the two men. The employee badges are from a heretofore little known security company named Special Interventions Group (SIG) which is owned by and mostly staffed by Norwegians. During the raid on the apartment authorities also confiscated at least one rifle and a camera containing pictures of the two men on their recent travels in Africa. In one grainy image, believed to have been taken by Mr. French, Mr. Moland is seen smiling as he washes the blood believed to be that of Mr. Kasongo from the inside of the hired car. Additionally, Mr. French has been coy about his real identity until recently, allegedly going under the name of "John Hunt," an equally nondescript name. Both men are being charged with murder and it appears the death penalty will be expedited soon. They were apparently scouting the region where the oil is. The Congolese authorities could very well have caught the duo and the Norwegian government (and maybe even forces unknown) red-handed. One thing's certain: Africa is still the frontier of the Wild, Wild West (and China).

Kenton Clark, Fictional 'Attorney'

WWW-At this writing, Ms. Palfrey, myself, and her civil attorney are still receiving return error e-mails every single time we correspond and send to each other. In the beginning (there was God), virtually everyone I would send to would return this way, but it narrowed to just Ms. Palfrey and Montogmery Blair Sibley.

This is extremely telling, because with the narrowing, one gets the possible indication that parameters were being set--initially, all of my e-mail, then just between the aforementioned. It wouldn't surprise me if it was some 'vigilante' action by some goober with people-clothing and some tech know-how (and a stunted, reactionary personality).

There are--of course--other possibilities, such as that what we're experiencing is a very desperate prosecution team abusing antiterror laws at the Justice Department. Remember that last week, federal district Judge Victor Marrero ruled against NSLs to internet and telecommunications providers with broad discretion, including gag orders to the recipients of the NSLs (like say, Google or Verizon, and even AT&T or Yahoo). At present, there are a little over 80-days left for the government to appeal Judge Marrero's decision. In the mean time, they can still keep ISPs under the gag, and continue their fun-and-games, even with boss Alberto leaving today.

Again, it could just be some aspiring Tim McVeigh(s) out there, reactionary vigilante-types who think that some dumb games with someone's e-mail is going to intimidate. What's interesting is the intended-effect on the new round of hacker foreplay: not obstructing our First amendment guarantee of free and open communication with each other, but to temporarily create the impression that we're receiving send errors and that the messages aren't reaching Ms. Palfrey, Mr. Sibley, or myself.

This would suggest that fear of being caught violating our ability to correspond--since it's illegal and protected speech--is in the puny fore brain(s) of whomever is expediting the action(s). It's not paranoia, it's happening, see the post below for a sample of the error mails, they're all the same.

Who is it? We don't know yet, but we're looking into it. Luckily, the individuals doing this aren't very bright, they've made a few mistakes that give away parts of their identities: we know for a fact that whomever is doing it is American. Why? In every e-mail return message, the same phony lawyer's name occurs--Kenton Clark, which is found most often in '419' spams, usually from Nigeria. So? Ms. Palfrey found the significance this time: the error messages all contain this address, 'attorneykentonclark_office@yahoo.co.uk' (it's dead). In the UK, a lawyer is commonly referred to as a 'barrister,' not an attorney.

And today, Ms. Palfrey and I received some e-mails from an anonymous individual via http://www.hush.com/. [Ed., 08.28.2008--This turned-out to be a friendly contact!] Curiouser and curiouser. Sam Eardth: kiss my ass.

YOUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK: HACKING OF E-MAIL COMMUNICATIONS BETWEEN 'DC MADAM' AND J-7 (AND OTHERS) OCCURRING

WWW-While I'm not remotely intimidated (and unimpressed), I find this very galling and possibly due to desperation. This is happening at a time in the pretrial proceedings of Ms. Jeane Palfrey, a period that's crucial for due process to occur--she's claiming discovery through 'the Classified Information Procedures Act,' and that there is possibly a national security aspect to her trial and what began her legal predicament. I'd say that that's a forgone conclusion. Here's the text of the delivery error mails, they're all the same:

J-7 isn't the only one affected by this. A number of individuals--even outside of the United States--have been attempting to e-mail Ms. Palfrey and have been receiving the same messages back. Interestingly, the original messages sometimes reach her...and sometimes they don't. Was/is there ever a 'Kenton Clark' who was/is an attorney in the United Kingdom? Doubtful, though not impossible. Ms. Palfrey informs me (at 9:50 PM Eastern) that she has never known or corresponded with anyone by this name.

A quick google search turns-up something very interesting: there is a classic spam of Nigerian-origin that has the name of a man calling himself 'J. Kenton Clark,' which is very sloppy on-the-part of the individuals (probably at SAIC, they handle much of the contracting for internet surveillance for 'terrorists,' and Ron Roughead is part of these activities) doing it. The name likely comes from a '419 scam':

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc. Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.(http://www.joewein.net/419/emails/2006-05/30/541846.1.htm)

It sounds a lot like the phony 'CEASE AND DESIST' e-mails I received shortly after writing about Ret. Col. Roughead, now working for SAIC as far as anyone knows. As far as this writer can tell, there was never a 'Sam Eardth' (the phony cease and desist e-mails), or even a UK-based barrister named 'Kenton Clark,' or 'J. Kenton Clark.'

This is all unsurprising considering that there are verifiable connections now with SAIC and Ms. Palfrey's phone records for Pamela Martin & Associates. One could imagine the prosecution is in-contact with a number of agencies--illegally--abusing antiterrorist laws in a case that should have been dismissed a year ago. And so, Ian Fleming's advice on the third-time is not as fictional as we might want to believe. Surely, any blocks of communication by a government agency or contractor (like SAIC or MITRE) are bars to the First Amendment right of free speech and communication between American citizens. This is what makes it unconstitutional and criminal.

Keep-in-mind that Congress created the ability for various agencies like the FBI, and other intelligence agencies and contractors, to do this. One should look to the recent federal district court decision by Judge Victor Marrero, although the government currently has 90 days to appeal the decision on NSLs (National Security Letters).

If it is the government and her agents, they are all on very shaky legal ground right now. Time to cease and desist, kids, the fun is over. No oversight, too much discretion--sounds like the FBI! Meanwhile, the press keeps covering how sorry Sen. David Vitter of Louisiana is for sinning--well, actually, he might have committed a criminal act while in-office.

Ed.-Ms. Palfrey's civil attorney--Montgomery Blair Sibley--has also been encountering similar 'bounce-backs,' containing phony e-mail addresses that are contained in classic 'scam spam' e- mails. In this case, the origin is from 'mailto:Mailer-Daemon@smarth-dorada.atl.sa.earthlink.net'. The section after '@' is where many classic spams originate from.
