Have You Seen This Cookie Dough Eating Woman? Editor Ponders Whether He's Gotten a Visit from 'Dr.' Paula Neble

SITE METER
--A curious gaggle of visitors have been clustering to this site from almost the very moment of its coverage about the legal predicament of Deborah Jeane Palfrey. So far, it's been a truly stunning-array.

It could be presumed that many of these visitors are professionals, individuals in officialdom, corporate executives and functionaries, members of think-tanks, former presidential advisers (and/or their agents), agents of the federal government, private military and intelligence contractors (SAIC & MITRE have visited--the 'mitre' being the fish-shaped hat the Nazi Pope wears, originally coming from the Cult of Dagon), our generally poor mainstream media, some officeholders, possible intelligence offices of several nations, NATO's offices, numerous federal departments and administrations, Congress, the Navy (one of the most frequent of 'official' guests), the United States Army--even the unholy five-sided Pentagon itself has been here, that archetype of evil and death.

Washington D.C. isn't just 'Hollywood for ugly people,' it's that strangest-of-places where there are so many professional conventions, minus the normal conventionalism of the little people. It's academic to say that many of these site hits are individuals in the phone records of Pamela Martin & Associates. It's certain.

But even early-on, there were some visitors who just kept coming back, popping-up on the site meter periodically, and that was especially curious to this writer. The National Institutes of Health is one, while one from Severna, Maryland just returns over-and-over. The one with Warl.org is plainly peculiar. While Palfrey's client-base extends into Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and even New York City, there have been a number of hits to this site from Maryland that just keep returning, and they too revisit over-and-over again.

NIH seemed out-of-place at first, but then, you have to realize that some of Ms. Palfrey's escorts were extremely professional individuals, and so were the clients--especially so in some cases. Those professional clients and small businessmen aren't the ones the public wants and needs to know about--we need to know what officials in (and out) of the phone records and contractors of the government are doing on our dollar and in our name. Are any of these site hits 'Dr.' Paula Neble? Yes, I'm being sarcastic, but I'm saying she has visited here. We know her handlers have.

Paula Neble has claimed to many people that she was a doctor--she isn't a real doctor (doctor of lunacy perhaps), or even a college graduate, and it's likely that the government has probably helped her to go 'underground' (a hint to journalists: stakeout her mother's house if you haven't been already).

Neble is that strange case: she isn't really the kind of woman Palfrey appears to have hired normally, so perhaps she tried to have all the appearance of being like the others. Why? Surely, it could have just been a ploy to get hired, and Neble may have been extremely out of her depth. It would explain a lot.

Being the same age as many of her government handlers at Justice, she's probably felt a kind of camaraderie with some of them, since they also appear to be overextended themselves. Or maybe it's just a case of the Stockholm syndrome on her part. Who ever said playtime ended after childhood? Life is like the movies. Would they all be more well-behaved in a better world? Nah. Playtime's over, and Hollywood's on-strike. This is about affecting a real defendant's life with real world consequences for all involved. Justice isn't being served, and that's serious. This writer believes Judge Kessler suspects this as well.

Remember the late Dr. Brandy Britton, a doctor of Sociology? Dead. That's serious, and so is 55 years in prison. That's one's natural life. Equally serious is the threat posed by a case like this to due process. If the government has had such a great case all-along with such heavy, punitive charges against the defendant, why then do they keep claiming secrecy rules because there's 'an ongoing investigation' that could be compromised? That's a lame excuse, it's as flaccid as a politician's penis.

Palfrey named Neble in a civil suit for a breach of contract back in the Spring of this year (for engaging in prostitution against her express wishes), and Neble has been that one lone name we all learned early-on in this story. She's the first of the government's witnesses/informants to be made public. We probably wouldn't even know her name had the defendant not filed the civil suit against her. Where is she hiding, and why is she being afforded the kind of anonymity that the defendant hasn't?

At this point, it should be obvious that the prosecution knows full-well that Palfrey has a good idea of the names of her accusers and some of their backgrounds...but the public doesn't, and the prosecution wants to prevent this for some reason. Conversely, they have selectively released edited evidence to specific media outlets such as the Smoking Gun.

We--the public--know virtually nothing about Paula Neble...and neither does her mother. What she appears to be is a pathological liar being harbored and used as a 'cooperating witness' against Deborah Jeane Palfrey in a government case gone very wrong. We just don't know much of anything except that she had Senator David Vitter and Harlan Ullman as clients and a few anecdotes. Paula's poor mother must be appalled.

Until May, she had no idea what her daughter was up to, and it seems very few others did either. This is troubling in a criminal case with an impending trial set for February 19th, but Judge Kessler could open the doors to a real discovery process after the end of this month. But it should be remembered that Palfrey has filed the suit against as many as 15 other 'Jane Does,' probably being her last crew of escorts.

Research by the New York Daily News (by journalist James Meek back in early-May) and WTOP has uncovered the fact that Neble never earned a doctorate, or any degree at all. According to Meek's questioning of her mother, she only took a few biology classes at the college level. Why would she go around claiming she had a doctorate when she didn't? Again, she was presenting a picture of a different person to Palfrey and others, and the reasons could be very banal. But, amazingly, that's it--we know nothing more about her, and she changed her name in 2001.

She really seems like a mixed-up hustler who got into something much bigger than she could handle. This has some interesting echoes with the Naval Academy 'supply officer' who is--astonishingly enough--still employed at Annapolis! It might be assumed that she must have served some overarching purpose, and that they know some pretty compromising information on (self-) 'important' people. People like Harlan Ullman and Vitter. This writer's money is on a connection to the Cunningham scandal, and Palfrey has dropped the name in the past. The involvement of SAIC-employee tends towards this thesis as well.

Neble didn't have much of an education when she worked for Pamela Martin & Associates, so it's strange that anyone would have believed that a cookie-dough eating, sleazy romance novel reading Texan could be anything other than what she really was: a pathological liar and a loser with little-or-no grasp of the truth. Did she have some gift for the gab? How did she pull-it-off? At least that's what acquaintances of Neble have been saying. This site enjoins anyone with direct information about Ms. Neble to come forward with it, we're all interested to know what kind of individuals the government uses as witnesses/informants under the Bush administration's (or any other) Justice Department. Neble's old apartment was catty corner to the Pentagon, and like many of the current administration's ranks and supporters, she's from Houston, Texas.

The government had better hope she's not their star witness. She's out there, somewhere, eating cookie-dough on the taxpayer's dime, lying to her government babysitters who likely tired of her boorishness long-ago. Funny, she sounds like my ex. My guess is the feds are keeping Ms. Plump in a safe house--not from criminal danger of any kind, but from public scrutiny since she's already displayed all the traits of a bad witness for any case. Where? Probably within the Washington D.C. area, and that she and her handlers have been poring-over the internet since they have a lot of time on their hands. They should, they might be in a lot of trouble. You can probably bank on that one too.

And it would also be interesting to know specifically if Ms. Neble ever had any contact (physical) with Ret. Colonel Ronald Roughead of SAIC, and Brent Wilkes. SAIC could be linked to the Cunningham scandal by-way of 'Hookergate.' We could be finding-out a whole lot more of the narrative after the TRO (temporary restraining order) hearing on November 28th, the other turkey day with the accusers playing the bird. Here's to a good carving-up.

With luck, federal District Judge Gladys Kessler will allow Palfrey's civil suit to go forward, and the accuser will finally be forced out into the sunlight. Neble won't be the only name released after a lifting of the restraining order on Palfrey's suit against Neble, we'll know more about her accusers and why the government prosecution didn't want us to. What a Strange Brew. (Revised, 11.08.2007)

Sex Academy: Sexploits at Annapolis, and Another Reminder of Why Football Still Sucks

"
I think that serving America is the right thing to do, and I wanted to be in the military. I know[,] it's kind of a stock answer, but I really believe that. I feel that I've been given a lot of privileges, and I feel like I have a responsibility to pay them back. I always wanted to have an exciting career and this will help me accomplish that." --Mark Capansky, who can be reached at 540-459-9215.

Annapolis, Maryland--Today's Baltimore Sun has a very intriguing piece on the sexual shenanigans of--you guessed it--the school's male population at the Naval Academy. One has to ponder whether any studying or saluting is possible in a prone position, or how they can get anything done there with all that sex going on. Take the case of one Lamar S. Owens Jr.:

Former Navy quarterback Lamar S. Owens Jr. was acquitted of rape in July 2006 but found guilty of two lesser charges, including conduct unbecoming an officer, for having sex with a female midshipman in the Naval Academy dormitory. He was expelled earlier this year and ordered to repay more than $90,000 in education costs. (Baltimore Sun, 10.20.2007)
You know, the young people do these things, but there's a problem. It's endemic at the Naval Academy, and Lamar isn't alone on the team. Not at all. Before Lamar was downed, one of his other team players named Kenny Ray Morrison was also charged with sexual misconduct, this time in a hotel, and "without the consent" of the female midshipman. In addition to this, a female "supply officer" has been named as a former employee of so-called "DC Madam" Deborah Jeane Palfrey. My-oh-my. Somehow, some way, she's still holding a position there, and it's not the missionary.
This leads us again to a name found in the phone records of Palfrey's Pamela Martin & Associates, from September of 2005: Mark Capansky (
540-459-9215, give him a call). Capansky was listed as a 2006 "offensive lineman" for 2006, but records on the Annapolis site lack any detail. It's a pretty significant fact that he's in the records during the given period of 2005, but was he a player at that time too? This is difficult to tell, based on internet searches. But is this a procuring ring at Annapolis?
Why did these other players believe they could have sex with these women with impunity? Did they know there was a sex-ring being utilized from the student pool to service high level officers at military conventions in the DC area? The presence of NATO to this site suggests that it's not only possible, but likely. In some way, Ronald Roughead and his brother--merely the CNO of the entire U.S. Naval Fleets--figures-in to this whole morass, though there is a strong possibility that the players were all unaware of each other. Did Capansky associate with Kenny Ray Morrison and Lamar Owens Jr. outside of the field? When did he actually play for Annapolis? The internet's record is a bit murky, and one has to wonder if some redactions are occurring.
Why did Mark Capansky make a call around 8:00PM on September 1st, 2005 to Pamela Martin & Associates, and why did he remove information from Wikipedia's article on Deborah Jeane Palfrey? Check the history of the page, it's there for all to see (if it hasn't been redacted yet). Interestingly, if you look at the "Sprint Football Roster" for 2004-2006, you'll find no listings with Capansky, Morrison, or Owens. Why? The writer grants his searches could be incomplete and invites others to clarify the issue.
Will we ever know what really happened in the case of Kenny Wayne Morrison? We might. It appears there is much more to the picture, and some hints of it came out during a hearing for a new trial in May 15th, 2007. An electrical engineering instructor named Major Robb Mansfield, a juror in the original trial, notified the Military Judge of what he called "jury irregularities" in Morrison's trial, and that there were problems with "impartiality" on-the-part of other military jurors (namely, other officers):

Mansfield, who said during jury screening that he believed the Naval Academy superintendent wanted a guilty verdict in the case, testified that he had not used the phrase 'jury tampering,' but 'jury irregularity.' After excusing the Marine Corps officer, Day told prosecutors to cancel plans to call the rest of the jurors to the stand. Seconds later, Morrison's father, Kenneth Ray Morrison Sr., stood up in the courtroom and used an expletive to refer to the proceedings. 'A juror comes forward to say that the jury totally disregarded the judge's instructions, and this judge won't let anyone say what happened,' he said. (Topix.com/Baltimore Sun, 05.16.2007)
Why a conviction for Morrison, but not Owens? What do both former players know about their predicaments that we're not hearing about? It's a good thing that Capansky and all the others in the phone records of Deborah Jeane Palfrey have the media looking out for them. What's also good--for them, not our nation--is that there are very powerful, tenured criminals who are also in those records attempting to make this story go away.
They can rest assured that it's not going to anytime soon. Yes, it's time to "give back," and start talking about what you know Mr. Capansky. This writer wagers you know quite a bit. Researchers need to focus in on this aspect of the Palfrey case--it's going to uncover a whole lot more. A root-system of corruption involving bribes and the brokering of sex could easily be in-the-mix, and so much more. In the recent trial of Brent Wilkes, the man who bribed California GOP Rep. Randy "Duke" Cunningham, a little fact leaked-out: that commemorative DVDs were being made of various "sexploits."

The government closed its case with testimony from two prostitutes who were hired by Wilkes during a trip to a lavish resort in Hawaii in 2003. They testified they had sex with Wilkes and Cunningham for $300 an hour. ...The $20,000 trip to Hawaii included not only the prostitutes but a special diving trip. It was memorialized on a DVD, titled “Aquatic Leadership Seminar.” Prostitutes were hired on two nights, he testified. (Signs on San Diego, 10.18.2007)
It appears this is present at Annapolis as well. A former Naval Academy doctor has been caught doing the very same thing...

Mitre.org (contractor) visits J-7

J
-7--Maybe The Nation's Editor [Ed., 10.09.2008--Or whatever the fuck he is these days besides an apologist for the system.] (David Corn) will get back with me on Ronald Roughead when I've been run into a culvert or a ditch like Karen Silkwood--or when the war's over in the Middle East. The first-part of the last sentence was a joke. The not-so-funny thing is, I just want them to start investigating the leads that I've uncovered. That's it.

It's interesting--and perhaps telling--that established media aren't willing to investigate retired U.S. Army Colonel Ronald Roughead, onetime Defense attache, psy-ops chief in Iraq (for IMN, or the "Iraqi Media Network), brother to CNO Rear Admiral Gary Roughead, and God-knows-what else, but I'm unsuprised.

At least that's where things appear to be, they won't investigate. I've had two near-confirmations on the man behind 703-836-0522 from members of the media, and they're not doing anything about it. Prove me wrong, I would love to be incorrect in the impressions I'm getting here. Right, not news, move-along. It gives a very bad impression, and The Nation isn't alone in this by any means. The L.A. Times has been here. So has The Army Times. Then, there's Inside Edition...but is it really on them? ;0)

It seems nobody seriously wants to challenge unaccountable power or to really end this war in a timely manner--just a lot of ruminating and high-talk (most of it safe and self-serving). What if: America falls, and the same Nuremberg trial excuses get trotted-out ("I was only following orders/I needed a job.").

One could begin to conclude that they're protecting Mr. Roughead from scrutiny, though I wouldn't say that about Mr. Corn. I like, and trust, The Nation. It's almost certain that while Ronald Roughead was calling the number of Pamela Martin & Associates, he held a high-level government security clearance. If this is so--and only those with the same or similar clearances can clarify it--he's been very-very naughty.

And look at who's visiting lately: Mitre corp., yet another communications/internet/systems research/data security contractor for the government, just like SAIC. My guess is that Mr. Roughead has ties (even if tangential) to both corporations, and might even work for both insititutions simultaneously. There are leads that appear pregnant with even more leads. It's all like having the question put to you by the Sphinx. A wrong answer could prove fatal.

What's also potentially troubling is that brother Gary could wield undue influence over the unnamed Naval officer in Palfrey's upcoming-trial as CNO of the entire U.S. Navy. It might be a conflict-of-interest, but that's probably why the prosecution "isn't interested in the clients." Somehow, some way, the unnamed Naval officer has retained her position in the Navy with that branch disregarding the fact that she was moonlighting for Palfrey (it's unknown if she was engaged in prostitution when she was--oops!--caught?). One would assume it would mean immediate dismissal...normally. It wouldn't surprise me if most of the people I've contacted in the media have found similar leads.

Some have confirmed that they have found what I have, but seem reluctant to follow them where they might end. I grant that they have limited resources and have to be cautious for dead-ends. Professionalism or careerism (or somewhere in-between?)? The banality of evil for our times? Work overload? Priorities? You tell me. It all reminds me of the jaded American history professor who told me that the very real conspiracy exposed by Marine Corps General Smedley Butler to overthrow FDR's administration by force "didn't amount to anything because it failed." Such "logic" transcends the cynical, and betrays the TALONS of power. Right, nothing here, move-along...

NAVAL OFFICER IN PALFREY CASE ASSUREDLY EARLY-ACCUSER: NAME PLEASE?

Annapolis, Maryland
--Is she with ONI (Office of Naval Intelligence), or is she just another poor soul caught-up in a legal mess? Is an intel root-system being uncovered, one-by-one? It's interesting how many of these people have direct-access to power and security clearances, but then, many of Palfrey's clients were going to be well-heeled. This is why some of the outed have answering to do, including Randall L. Tobias. The media didn't report the name of the Naval Officer anywhere that this researcher could locate. Consider these possible factors:

--Unknown female is an Naval Officer at Annapolis, ostensibly as an "instructor." Intelligence operatives usually have a cover job, and other capacities. It could be nothing.

--It's even money that she's one of the "confidential informants" accusing Deborah Jeane Palfrey in prosecution papers. This would be one of the reasons why her identity would be cloaked by prosecutors. The other alternative is that she's a "cooperating witness," which could make her impeachable.

--If she's ONI, prosecutors might be in a legal-quandary if they were aware of it, as breaking-her-cover could be illegal.

--She's working-directly with the prosecution.

--As part of her possible intel-connections, she could have been employed out of The National Maritime Intelligence Center (NMIC) in Suitland, Maryland.
ONI operates centrally out of Suitland. No indication of it, but who knows?

And then there's the Baltimore Sun story from today that also appears to confirm these suspicions, rather than dispel them:
The sources said the woman worked for several years at the academy, in a senior, non-faculty position. Her name is splattered throughout the records,'’ Palfrey said. “We would not talk to each other if the girl wasn’t working.'’ The woman did not return phone messages left at a number listed as hers Friday. Her attorney responded to an e-mail sent to her and said neither she nor he would comment. Hundreds of Annapolis telephone numbers and dozens of others from Maryland cities such as Baltimore, Glen Burnie, Severna Park, Columbia and other areas appear on the phone records, which Palfrey has posted on a Web site. (Baltimore Sun/AP, 07.23.2007)
Name please? Why no name? Surely, they know it, so why not reveal it so we all know who she is? We'll know much better then if she's significant, or just another employee of Ms. Palfrey who got caught-up in some dragnet. And so we now know:

--She already has an attorney, virtually confirming she's been popped for something and is a "cooperating witness," not a "confidential informant" (only de facto).

--The mainstream media might be afraid of a lawsuit if she's ONI, or possibly an operative for some other intelligence agency. It could be illegal to do so, like in the case of Valerie Plame. Or, it could be nothing, she was simply caught doing something unrelated to her job with Pamela Martin & Associates that was illegal.

--She worked for several years at Annapolis in several capacities. It's unclear how-long the Naval Academy knew she was an employee of Deborah Jeane Palfrey. [Ed.-I'm told she's a supply officer.]

--She's still employed by the Navy, meaning that aside from what they already know about her from the Justice Dept. (which is a lot since all these agencies can communicate with each other better since 9/11), her activities with Pamela Martin & Associates were acceptable, or forgivable. The question is, why?
