Obama Girl: thanks for allowing the mainstream media to white-out important stories

Youtube--Where are the intelligent women, the fighters? No, I don't mean the bourgie wannabe suck-ups who model themselves after Gloria Steinem (starfuckers/social-climbing scumbags)--nobody gives-a-shit what that name-brand of pseduo-feminism thinks. Again....imagination? I know, you had it flogged out-of-you by the American (mis)educational system, but you also made it too easy for your warders. I colored outside the lines. Where was I...imagination: NONE present in the clip, it's just annoying and embarrassing. Oh yeah, and it basically says nothing whatsoever. Why do you women wish to embarrass yourselves and myself so badly? The stupid woman who's in this idiotic clip on Youtube is a twit. Anyone who saw any importance in it is a twit. All I wanted was for someone to throw water on her t-shirt, that's it. Like Anna Nicole Smith, her tits were big enough to hide the disintegrating war in Iraq and Afghanistan. Rah-rah-rah.

She just wanted to be famous, yet show not one iota of imagination or creativity in what can really be done with the medium they used. Pathetic, and no talent whatsoever. Garbage. Excrement. CNN spent AN ENTIRE WEEKEND blah-blah-blahing over this dumbass clip. This is how much journalism has degraded when you allow business to intrude so deeply into the field. What crap. This is truly the age of the shibboleth, and an American Weimar moment. If there are future generations, they'll ask--as we often do: "Why were they so stupid? Were they crazy? What was wrong with them?" Irony can be kind of ironic sometimes. I'm still waiting for Alan Keyes to implode up his own asshole, he's cultural anti-matter ("Burroughsian" enough?). Any day now...

PRESIDENT CHENEY CEDES POWER TO VICE PRESIDENT BUSH (HIM)

wArShINtUhN DeE-CeE--Him bizZaro president. Him strong. Him never wrong. Him run-and-hide when 9/11 hit, and him have too-much foreknowledge of event. Him tell interceptor jets to stand down crucial first six minutes of attack? Him construct hims own private Army with Blackberry in Virginia. President Cheney, him tell Vice Preznent Bush to go-fuck-himself, long-ago:

"Me take all power. Even as body decaying, me stronger than American people, so him go have colonscopy," him say to 20% whack-jobs who think him still OK (because him blackmail and pay them).

Him strong. Public weak, ignorant, apathetic...but not for long. Him boss, you zeta-chimps, tomorrow him be liquefied-slime, worm meat. Nothing him can do about it, so him take every him out with him. Him going to invade Iran, put USSA under police state conditions if him get hims way. Him. Him Bolshevik, him real communist internal-threat. Him say that him will invade Iran, but him does not know that other hims throughout world will smash hims here. Him. What would him do without such indefatigable hims as Ronald Roughead, moron hims like Steve Canyons, Monica Goodling (woof!), "Sam Eardth" (did anyone ever have this fucking name in human history?), Maria Cuvillon & Joe Clark, Jeffrey A. Taylor, Gonzales--and all other troglodyte hims?

And someone who created a phony yahoo account under the name "Sam Eardth"

J-7--This is a good one, really, it looks patently-false, and just more of "Steve Canyon's" childish behavior. I was sent this e-mail at 3:09 PM today, and I think Stevie got another yahoo account (they've been forwarded the original mail). You think it has the ring of a "stay-off this one." Could this be the beginning of an intimidation campaign? It sure shows all the characteristics of a mass-mailing, which could be done surreptitiously through yahoo from nearly anywhere, even another country. The e-mail (minus the address):
Title: "CEASE AND DESIST"

Text: HEY, I DON'T APPRECIATE YOU POSTING MY PHONE NUMBER ON YOUR BLOG. I SUGGEST YOU TAKE IT DOWN IMMEDIATELY OR MY ATTORNEY WILL BE CONTACTING YOU. (MAKE THAT SUING YOU!) REMOVE IT NOW!
This link was at the bottom of the e-mail, probably placed there as a cover (no site meter readings indicate anyone during the time period visited J-7 from any yahoo sites): http://mobile.yahoo.com/mobileweb/onesearch?refer=1ONXIC

Conclusion: A total--and clumsy--fraud, and a dead-giveaway without any phone number enclosed to be removed, nor a name sign-off. Spooks? Nahhhhhhhhh. I'd wager it's "Steve Canyon," since he also used a yahoo e-mail account (have a pulse? you can get a yahoo account!).

I'll have to block this one too. It should be noted that all the phone numbers of Pamela Martin & Associates are public records and can be published without any legal recourse (unless one knowingly changed them), courtesy of federal District Judge Gladys Kessler.

Or is it
http://www.winningcampaigns.org/ doing what they do best? SAIC? Nothing on the counter seemed to suggest it. We'll see.

And someone at Boston University...

Now, how would anyone at Boston University know who Matt Janovic was a priori their search? You tell me, but I think I can guess...

Ed.-I'm taking this as a "yes" to my question put to them: "Is this the same Ronald Roughead (at the number and address in Alexandria, Virginia)?"

[Ed., 08.30.2008--All roads lead to San Diego, not Rome.]

Missing-the-point of technology

You ever noticed that whole-swaths of the public and those in government just haven't--and still don't--get the implications of the internet and the blogs? It's like the idiotic officer classes during WWI, sending wave-after-wave of infantrymen into machine-gun fire because they thought 19th century military tactics still applied. Or what of the Kaiser's inability to recall the trains sending the German Army to the fronts (as part of the "Schlieffen plan") in the first-days of the Great War? Yes, this is where the legendary phrase, "The trains must run on-time," comes from. Drop the chimp-posture. Quit sleep-walking through history, and start reflecting on these things. The internet and the blogs serve as an even greater innovation than the invention of the printing press. Wake up. Develop an imagination. Use your head. Now act, it's time to end the apathy and boorishness. It's not a time for "niceness."

Ron Roughead's phone number lifted from Dcphonelist.com?

WWW
-A commenter named "Shutter" from the UK has tipped me that Mr. Roughead's listing at
www.dcphonelist.com was posted there yesterday...and is now mysteriously absent today. One of Ronald Roughead's skills--if indeed this is our man, and J-7 believes it is--is controlling the flow of information throughout the internet.

It's supposed to be for counterterrorism, however, not covering his arse. Luckily, he's in the private-sector now (or is he?). Why it's not there is beyond me, you'd have to ask them at Dcphonelist.

[Ed., 09.03.2008--It's interesting that SAIC read this recently. The number hadn't been lifted, there were problems in the scanning-process that were rectified shortly afterwards.]

This is likely from Ned Berkowitz, a producer on Inside Edition (little schmutz). Son of Sam I am. I do not like green eggs and ham. I tipped-off Inside Edition on Mr. Roughead, and they wanted the exact file wherin his number would be found. I wanted credit, so he bypassed me and searched the site for the file. Hey, a little fake-out of the media is O-K. ;0) Doesn't matter, I and another blogger found it first, and it's date/time-imprinted. I wasn't the first to find it, as I found in my googling, but the first to understand the possible significance of the name.

On the so-called "new" terror-threats (He spoke in a Pythia-voice)

wArSHINtuHn--It's hard for anyone to believe you when you've been crying wolf for nearly six years. That's no one's fault but the Bush administration's and their allies in Congress and in the media. People like Judy Miller and Robert Novak, and many-many more, particularly owners of the mainstream media who are giving the marching orders. The worst aspect is, so long as they're still in-office (and afterwards with the media), we're unsafe thanks to these facts. There's a reason why you don't cry "Wolf!" The parable's theme should be obvious, but not if you're someone who has no sense of self-reflection.

If you have any intellect whatsoever, it's clear that when Homeland Security Chief Michael Chertoff says he "has a hunch" that Al-Qaida--or somebody, anybody--is going to attack soon, that he's probably being told to lie under pressure. Perhaps we'll find his phone number in Ms. Palfrey's phone records--and that he was being blackmailed by someone in the Bush administration. Or perhaps he just checked how the crow flies, or how much moss was growing on the trees outside his home, and on which side. No-dice on the Pythia's lair, it was destroyed ages ago, and it's doubtful Chertoff was doing a sweat lodge somewhere in the Southwest (though he could use it, clearly). Then again, he could have checked the entrails of a goat for the signs. Let's face it: you can trust a goat's guts better than the Bush administration. So mote it be.

Rent-a-Troll! (Steve Canyon's employers/gods?)

WWW-In case you were naive enough to believe there aren't private and government programs linked to the GOP in disrupting progressive sites, blogs, and chat rooms--you were mistaken. DailyKos has a great piece on the turd who runs this business, and his Republican credentials are solid. He even ran for office as one in the 1980s. The ad says-it-all: hire us to attack sites that have opposing-views to your particular agenda, or pose a PR-threat. Do they serve NAMBLA? Of course they serve the RNC--and anyone flashing money. One has to wonder if they really do have other nefarious clients (Mark Foley?).The graphic below is from their online magazine.

The list of clients on Kos is unlikely to be complete, and one can rest assured that the founder--Alan Locke--that he tends towards the right, but then, so do a lot Democratic politicians. The site also has links to groups that service the DNC, which Kos should have pointed-out...but that's what I'm here for. Someone should check if his number is in the Pamela Martin & Associates phone records. His number for Winning Campaigns is: 703-534-5645. And how interesting--Daily Kos has a post on how they've been getting-hit by trolls lately. Winning Campaigns (dumb name) is hardly the only institution out there disrupting the internet.

703-836-0522: RONALD ROUGHEAD (PAX AMERICANA)

Alexandria, Virginia--Another name, another few-hours. This is a good one. He's been connected with propaganda campaigns in Iraq, was once an "Army Colonel Defense Attache," and has even testified before congressional committees. He's worked for CENTCOM operations in various capacities, and was Chief of the Kenya United States Liaison Office from as early as 1996-to-1999. He worked at the American Embassy, a place where spies never work, not ever. Ronnie's retired now, working for SAIC...or is he?

It's unclear if Roughead is currently serving with SAIC, but he briefed the House Intelligence Committee on the dangers and uses of the internet and video games allegedly modified (for recruiting purposes) by Al-Qaida, amongst other things on May 4th, 2006, cagily representing SAIC. A video game--probably a fraud authored by Pentagon disinfo campaigns that were created by Donald Rumsfeld--is ostensibly called "Sonic Jihad." The dialog and voice-overs are in English.

Here's some of Ron's testimony from last year over anti-American propaganda on the internet and throughout Iraq (get the coffee out):

REP. MAC THORNBERRY (R-TX): Thank you, Mr. Chairman. I guess the first question that comes to my mind is, can y'all help us understand the availability of the Internet, and therefore these products to a variety of target audiences? I mean, to what -- I understood the demographics that you said, and certainly -- say Muslims in Europe, where there is widespread Internet access, would be able to get to those things. But what about in Iraq? What about in other places in the Middle East? How widely available is Internet access so that they can get to these things?

MR. ROUGHEAD: I think the point that we've tried to make in the briefing is that wherever there's Internet availability at all, they can then download these -- these programs and put them onto compact discs, DVDs, or post them into posters, and provide them to a greater range of people in the oral tradition that they've grown up in. And so they only need a few Internet sites in order to distribute and disseminate the message. We see this happening regardless of whether the country that the program is has a great number of Internet sites or not. Availability of the Internet throughout the countries that they're targeting is enough that they can get their product out.

REP. THORNBERRY: So a -- statistics say that 25 percent of whatever of the households have Internet access does not limit the dissemination of this message to that percentage of the population because of the oral tradition, and they take it and spread it from there. [Ed.--correct, they don't need the internet to disseminate their message, and we refuse to speak their language or to understand their culture. So much for the point of the hearings...]

MR. ROUGHEAD: Absolutely correct. And if you think of this as being a modern version of telling stories to people in their village, they can now take the picture -- the video that was taken of a sniper shooting of a U.S. soldier, put that on CD and distribute it on the streets tonight.

REP. THORNBERRY: In y'all's [Ed.-is this guy really Steve Canyon?] study, did you include a study of how media reports in the United States or media reports of what American politicians say is fed into this propaganda machine? I mean, obviously you had the example of the president's words. The emphasis on partition of Iraq made by think of statements somebody made this past week -- a member of the other body -- that it ought to -- that Iraq ought to be partitioned. Do they take that and turn it around and use it? And if so, how quickly?

MR. ROUGHEAD: It's interesting that we see them take some statements and turn them around immediately [Ed.-must be referring to the blogosphere here...]; sometimes we look at a statement that we think will be used and it's not used at all. More than that -- though that's not what our research is looking into; the research is more interested in where they find their product -- we can see that they get them from everywhere. [Ed.-my emphasis] We're not even sure that they don't even hack into the kinds of spaces that hold photographs in order to get pictures that our forces have taken.

REP. THORNBERRY: Let me just ask this lastly. You mentioned at the very end that this is a concerted plan. This is not just a few random folks or anything, but is it a centrally directed plan? Is there -- or not? How is this put together? It's amazing, of course, the consistency, the themes and messages. Obviously it's very sophisticated. Is somebody controlling this, or how does that work? How is that formulated?

MR. ROUGHEAD: We have a great deal of discussion over how much central control there is. (Federal News Service, 05.04.2006)

In other words, it's nothing to do with our policies that cause the deaths of tens-of-thousands, it's the dissemination of CDs, DVDs, modified videogames, etc, that brings individuals into-the-fold of terrorism. They--SAIC and the intelligence community Roughead comes from--don't even know if there's any co-ordination here (or anywhere). What a waste of time and money.

Meanwhile, Roughead gets paid what one could assume is a major paycheck for bloviating about nothing, and playing video games on all of our dimes. What he appears to be is some kind of intel chief/analyst, as well as someone running psy-ops/propaganda campaigns. Clearly, he's not good at his job. Good luck finding much detail on the phantasm known as Ron Roughead, though
http://www.politicalfriendster.com/ has a gaggle of links that aren't as useful as they should be. Information on the internet regarding Roughead is scarce, which is probably how he wants it (or even engineered it).
There's an Admiral Gary Roughead, and he's Commander of the US Fleets in Norfolk, Virginia. It's likely he would expedite a naval and air assault from the Persian Gulf in the event of an Executive order to strike Iran. Is he Ronald Roughead's brother? It appears so, and very deep web searches turn-up no other Ronald Rougheads in any directory listing in Virginia, and certainly nobody else of that name in Alexandria. There have been no answers thus far from the number.

Ron began his military career in the Marines, a branch of the U.S. Navy. It appears that both men have some experience in the intelligence community as well. Related? Who knows? Ron Roughead ran the IMN in Iraq, taking-over for Bob Teasdale in early-2005
. Roughead must still be working with SAIC, but it's unclear in what capacity. His phone number can be found in "Cingular, August 24 2005-December 1 2005, page 4. Hit it!

Ed.- Roughead's name pops-up as a phone number listing at the top-listing on google. THIS HAS TO BE OUR MAN, and the game is afoot. It's even money that he had a high-level security clearance at the time of his call (record is an incoming call), and could have exposed himself to potential blackmail by operatives working for any number of entities and insititutions, including foreign ones. At least he didn't phone from work like Sen. Vitter.

It should be noted that there is a "Roughead LLC" with their own site. While the Rougheads aren't a part of the firm anymore, the site had an interesting aside about the family name:

There is no relationship, other than historical, familiar, connections, with the Timken Company and The Roughead Company LLC. As a family, the Rougheads have Admirals, Colonels, Chemical Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Physicists, Actuaries, and Professors... all in four generations of American Life! A Cousin was a criminologist and Writer to the Signet, in the United Kingdom. (Roughead.com)
The Guardian has been forwarded Mr. Roughead's number by J-7. You have to wonder if they'll do anything with it. Western media have been curiously quiet and reluctant to cover this...without being prodded sharply.Revised July 17th, 2007 (with postscript)

540-459-9215: Mark Capansky (Former Intern for GOP Rep. Bob Goodlatte)

Woodstock, Virginia
--"Who's Mark Capansky?" you might be asking yourself right now. This one's "old," I found the listing in the "Sprint, January 22 2005-December 22 2005" file, page-17. He interned for congressman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.)--that is, based on whether the client of Pamela Martin & Associates was the father or the son. They both have the same name, minus any appellation such as "Jr." or "Sr." (or even "II" or "III").

DATE: January 27, 2005 CONTACT: KATHRYN REXRODE

CONGRESSMAN GOODLATTE ANNOUNCES ACADEMY NOMINATIONS
Washington, DC: Congressman Bob Goodlatte announced today that the following students have received nominations to military academies for the class entering the fall of 2005.
Mark Capansky, son of Mark and Polly Capansky, is currently a freshman at Carnegie Mellon University and a resident of Woodstock. He has been nominated to the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis.

Wesley Stout, son of Benny and Gloria Stout, is currently a senior at Stonewall Jackson High School and a resident of Mt. Jackson. He has been nominated to the United States Military Academy at West Point.

“I am greatly honored to nominate these fine young students to compete for appointment to the United States Services Academies. Upon appointment, they will be attending outstanding schools and joining the world’s finest fighting force. I am confident they will serve our country with distinction. Folks in Shenandoah County can be proud of these hard working young men,” said Goodlatte. (house.gov/goodlatte, 01.27.2005)
It appears the son has been playing football off-and-on at Carnegie Mellon, and has been chosen by Goodlatte with another intern to attend the Naval Academy at Annapolis, and West Point, respectively. What did Mark Capansky do to earn this? The other intern is a High School student, but a football player is usually thought of as a "ladies man" in our culture--not a geeky High Schooler.

Perhaps they're both just very good at their jobs as
interns. On the other hand, one of them was calling Pamela Martin & Associates in September of that year, and it wasn't the kid. Are there earlier-entries for 540-459-9215? It should be looked-into. Note that J-7 isn't the first to "out" Capansky, however, it was TRex at http://www.firedoglake.com/ on July 9th in a comments-thread.

A major question is: which Mark Capansky is it? The call originates from Woodstock, Virginia, the family home. Mark Jr. is a humanities scholar at Carnegie Mellon, and is listed in the Class of 2008. Again, Capansky Jr. was an intern with Goodlatte at least before-and-during 2005. It's unclear when and if his time there has ended, though it's likely his internship ended somt time during 2005.

The call from Pamela Martin & Associates occurs on September 1st, 2005, at 8:02 pm, and lasts four minutes. It doesn't appear that Capansky was interning for Goodlatte when this call was made, but you never know
:
Congressman Bob Goodlatte (R-VA06) has openings for unpaid interns for fall 2005 in his Washington, DC office. Duties include answering telephones, processing mail, guiding Capitol tours, greeting visitors, assisting staff with various projects, and attending hearings. Must be motivated, detail- oriented, and be able to multi-task. This is a great opportunity for college students and graduates seeking Hill experience. Virginia ties preferred, but not necessary. Applicant must be available for a minimum of 8 weeks. Please fax cover letters and resumes (202) 225-9681. If you have any questions, please contact Nathan Pick at (202) 225-5431.
And so, why would Mark Capansky Jr. (if he's the one who made the call) be at home from Pittsburgh (Carnegie Mellon) on September 1st, 2005--a Thursday (school night)? [Ed., 07.18.2007-probably a Labor Day break, but Carnegie Mellon's schedule for 2005 only lists Monday, Sept. 5th, 2005 with "no classes"]

J-7 figures that the time is really after midnight in Woodstock, Virginia, so it could have originally been been dialed surreptitiously by someone in the home--with the callback being the record--that night in the initial-contact. It's impossible to know what any of this means at this point, but there is a connection here with a Republican representative's office. What that connection is remains to be seen. Go to Croatan.

POTENTIAL ABT ASSOCIATES SENIOR ASSOCIATE NUMBER FOUND IN PALFREY PHONE RECORDS

Cambridge, Massachusetts--This could be something. J-7 may have located the phone number of an Abt Associates Senior Associate. Who? They're a think tank, and they're even known for doing research alongside the RAND corporation (created by the CIA). They do an awful lot of research on all of us, and from the look of it, it's pretty intrusive. Just take this example from May of 2003:

Cambridge-based Abt Associates Inc. has landed a deal with the U.S. Department of Defense to monitor members of the military who receive the smallpox vaccine. Abt, along with the Arlington, Va.-based think tank RAND Corp. and Washington, D.C.-based Voxiva Inc., will use their technologies to alert the DOD to adverse reactions that vaccine recipients may have. (Boston Business Journal, 05.20.2003)

That's just one situation they can cover, gathering information, then issuing reports to their clients (frequently, the government, but also the corporate sector). Their "scope" is pretty stunning.

The Company applies its expertise in research, consulting, technical assistance, data collection and medical and life sciences to a wide variety of problems in the public and private sectors. In the United States, Abt Associates has helped shape many important and complex public programs, including Medicaid, welfare reform, Head Start, crime reporting, and housing experiments. The Company is also a recognized leader in providing technical assistance to facilitate policy reforms in countries moving to market oriented economies. It has extensive experience in advising countries on economic growth and health systems strengthening. Working with the U.S. Agency for International Development, our experts in health, economic growth, the environment, and trade have helped governments improve service delivery and implement sustainable market-based reforms.

Examples of Abt Associates' work include research, evaluation and technical assistance related to improving the effectiveness of government programs, the efficacy of new pharmaceuticals, the cost-effectiveness of environmental regulations, the usefulness of new education strategies, the efficiency of healthcare systems, the incidence and prevalence of diseases, and the effectiveness of customer satisfaction and market positioning strategies. (Abtassociates.com, 2007?)

Right. Most of their studies are very fundamental in their approach. They just tell institutions--generally government and business, but also other NGOs--what the reality on the ground is, be it in the economic realm, health care, workforce dynamics, addictions treatment--even reports on terrorist threats. They also do studies for the World Bank. Their reports are solid, and extremely valued and credible. Abt Associates are often the last-word on an area of study.

Of course, some studies can be used to prove almost anything, especially in the Capitol. In April of 2003, at the height of post-9/11 hysteria, Abt Associates issued their report commissioned by the Department of Transportation entitled "The Economic Impact of Nuclear Terrorist Attacks on Freight Transport Systems in an Age of Seaport Vulnerability." Their solution? Not an illogical one, but not exactly one that attacks the origins of terrorism (American economic & foreign policy): tighten port security and "transportation efficiency" In short, start counting the boxes for once, monitoring them. This isn't the area of study of the individual in the Pamela Martin & Associates phone records, however. This could be a dead-end, but there could also be something here.

FROM THE RECORDS OF PAMELA MARTIN & ASSOCIATES: 703-228-4470

Arlington, Virginia--Speculation is useless on this one. However, it has a possible significance. It's the phone number of the Arlington County Jail. The call was made by Pamela Martin & Associates on December 28th, 2000. It's on page 5 of the file "ATT January 22 2001-December 27 2001." The call is 1.3 minutes, at 2:14 PM, with no repeats in the next few days. In fact, there aren't any significant calls to Arlington until around March of 2001--to the National Science Foundation.
Another file for another period has a hotel in closest proximity to the Pentagon. Many, many others are hotels that surround Annapolis one named the "Sheraton Barcelo Hotel"), while there are sundry academics, doctors, and even law firms represented. This is just from random searches. A number of private foundations are also in the 2001 phone records. So are a lot of average private citizens who, unfortunately, will be caught-up in some of this. J-7 has no intention of dragging them or any employee of Pamela Martin & Associates into the spotlight. Unfortunately, others already are [Ed., 10.04.2009: Like CLG and Lori Price].

Steve Canyon, learned ("that'll learn ya'!") intellectual

Ed.--Hey kids! This really rational and intelligent fella sent me this well-reasoned piece, and I thought you'd all love a good larf. Steve's wrong, what I said in the ancient piece he read was that PACs/GOP/the Defense Dept. have had people roving the internet responding to various-points they have a problem with.

We know for a fact that the Bush administration was (is?) using military personnel to do this regarding opinions surrounding the war, and not just countering the news sites.
We know for a fact that the Pentagon had information units trawling the internet countering stories. They could easily have been responding to comments on blogs, particularly the large-ones like Huffington Post or Rawstory.

Go to the comments sections of just about any "progressive" blog or site, and you'll find the "trolls" there. Where do they come from? Surely, most of them are just really pathetic-morons with nothing to say, and too much time on their hands.
Do I think political operatives and right-wing activists have been "payed" (Steve's misspelling in another harassing e-mail he sent me) to try to counter progressive opinions and sites throughout the internet?

Consider this: Cindy Sheehan was confronted by this ilk at Arlington cemetery--sometime last year--and one of them told her "I make $60-per-hour to do this." OK, fine, it could be bullshit, but it could be real. Why do I think I know "Steve"? He's been trying to bait me into a "debate" for a few-weeks, maybe months and I haven't been biting.

Perhaps "Steve" is frustrated since his president's in so much trouble, and the GOP's poised to implode (not Alan Keyes)? I think he just needs a hug, so give him one, and be nice: insanenowchuck@yahoo.com In case you didn't notice, almost all of Steve's comments ARE CAPITALIZED TO ASSERT HIS (lack of) MANHOOD.
Since I consider his e-mails harrassment, I'm publishing his address here.

Prolix...

Dear Fuckwit.

I found your website where you post the names of the "Trolls." I want to tell you how fucking stupid you are. How can I count the ways? Let me try fuckstick:You preamble to you[r] shitstain website states:["]How-many of these people are conservative PAC-operatives? How-many of them are working-for the GOP and the Bush administration? They have all the same talking-points, sometimes before the Bush administration voices-them. This is very suspicious. If you see them on other liberal' blogs, report them to the webmaster.["]
POINT BY POINT DISECTION [SIC] OF WHY YOU ARE STUPID AND LIKELY PRONE TO SUCKING BAGS OF DICKS: How-many of these people are conservative PAC-operatives? WHY THE FUCK WOULD A CONSERVATIVE PAC PAY SOMEONE LIKE ME TO SPEW VILE RIGHT WING PARTISAN RHETORIC ON LIBERAL WEBSITES WHEN DOING SO WOULD HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO EFFECT ON CHANGING THE LIBERAL VIEWS OF ASSHATS SUCH AS YOURSELF WHO GO ON BLOGS TO POST LEFT LEANING PARTISAN RHETORIC. DOING SO WOULD SERVE NO PURPOSE OTHER THAN TO WASTE MONEY. THINK ABOUT IT SHIT STAIN. PRETTY FUCKING SIMPLE LOGIC. [Ed.-actually, no. You know why--to disrupt the dialogues already going-on at my site and others. Waste money? One word: Iraq]
How-many of them are working-for the GOP and the Bush administration? FIRST, REREAD MY CRITICISM OF YOUR FIRST POINT AS MUCH OF IT APPLIES DIMWIT. DO YOU THINK THE BUSH ADMIN IS GOING TO PAY SOME RIGHT WING HACK TO BLOG ON DAILYKOS? YOU ARE ONE SIMPLE SON OF A CUNT. AND IF THE GOP OR BUSH ADMIN DID PAY PEOPLE TO BE OPERATIVES AND POST ON LIBERAL WEBSITES, DO YOU THINK SAID OPERATIVES WOULD USE SCREENNAMES LIKE scalitofan, cheneyhastheweathermachine, and hillaryscock? YOU ARE SO FUCKING STUPID FOR THINKING SUCH THINGS. STOP SMOKING DOPE AND SUCKING COCK. [Ed.-this one's my favorite!] They have all the same talking-points, sometimes before the Bush administration voices-them. This is very suspicious. EVER NOTICE HOW THE DEMOCRAT, LEFTY, PINKO, COMMIE HACKS ALL SAY THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER? THE RIGHT HAS ITS TALKING POINTS AND SO DOES THE LEFT. YOU ARE SO FUCKING DUMB ITS RIDICULOUS. FURTHERMORE, WHY WOULD THE ADMINISTRATION OR THE GOP LEAK TALKING POINTS TO FUCKTARDS LIKE ME WHO WOULD SPEW THEM IN A VILE AND HARASSING MANNER ON SOME DIPSHIT LIBERAL BLOG. [Ed.-Hmm? Please tell us] IT WOULD LESSEN THE USEFULLNESS [SIC]OF SAID TALKING POINT. [Ed.-Which you're displaying well right now] RIGHT FUCKWIT? If you see them on other liberal' blogs, report them to the webmaster. THIS I DON'T UNDERSTAND AT ALL. YOU WANT TO LOCK YOURSELF IN A ROOM WHERE YOU HEAR NOTHING BUT YOUR OWN POINT OF VIEW REPEATED BACK TO YOU? [Ed.-Classic projection at work here...]PUSSY. DEBATE YOU LITTLE FAGGOT. DON'T FEAR FREE SPEECH OR DEBATE. IT'S WHAT AMERICA IS ALL ABOUT YOU DUMB CUNT. THE ONLY THING FUN ABOUT BLOGGING IS BANTER AND REPARTEE. EVEN IF ITS VILE AND OFFENSIVE. And finally, you are most stupid for having read all the way down to the sentence when I have call you a fuckwit, fuckstick, asshat, dimwit, a simple son of a bitch, shitstain [SIC], cunt, pussy, faggot and one prone to sucking on bags of dicks. grow some balls. AND HAVE A NICE DAY. DIMWIT.

"Steve's" what...13? I wonder why people tend to ignore him and his kind. Funny, I didn't detect any thesis in the mess he sent me. And I thought I was hearing the right's viewpoint 24/7, the majority of my adult life. Day-after-day--they they blare their vomit at the American public through their own news channels. They virtually own all of the national media (squeezing-out all the other viewpoints), and control most of our economy and political process. Yet, they just cannot seem to accomplish very much...or to lead at all.

"Steve" should start his own blog. Nobody's stopping him, but who allows some social retard to come into their home uninvited to bloviate on a bunch of twaddle? Steve, the inarticulate bozo. The interesting thing is that someone I used to work with used all of these expletives...

I hate sports

It's hard-to-believe, I know, but sports has never done anything for me...except force itself on my life. My late, lamented step-father was a fan of football and baseball--an easy-going one. He didn't make it a religion that weirdly fused with...religion and nationalism. Where did it begin? I actually liked baseball & basketball as a kid, but during the 1970s, American-males were having an identity-crisis (still ongoing!). Widespread divorce was a new phenomena too, and the guys were a little insecure and angry over feminism. The final solution? Overcompensation-by-sports. For everyone else who copped-out during the 60s-70s, it would be heroin, cults/Jesus freak mode, and disco. For others, sports, the other national religion. Whenever American men feel insecure, they reach for sports.

So yeah, the 1970s: mostly a horrible decade, but at least there was no war on drugs, Reagan, but a very troubled time with a lot of violence everywhere, at every level of American society. Seriously, it was everywhere. Statistics mean nothing. One of the main-locations I remember violence at was at school games and gym classes. It nearly always surrounded sports in some way. There's a reason for this--sports basically sucks. It would be OK if it were just a little pastime like it was over 80-years-ago here in America, but it's just gone way beyond something healthy and "normal." It's officially wrong. Some people say it "gives me a feeling of togetherness, being a part of something bigger." Right, like everyone going to see "Star Wars" in 1977 was going to heal America's divisions after the 1960s. It's an illusion that reminds me of the Nuremberg rallies.

What's worse is the irrational nationalism attached to sports, it's blatant, vulgar, and obvious. And don't you just love the drunks at games? Or the sky-high tickets? What about those fat potato-heads in Chicago who look perpetually drunk, and always have that stupid baseball hat on, and stubble? Back when I was working at a children's home, we sometimes took the kids to baseballs games. One of the kids didn't want to stand for the national anthem, so I let him sit-down. Realizing I don't have any real loyalty to a piece-of-cloth and an anthem based on an old English drinking-song, I sat too. Things got ugly, we even had one of the pitchers staring-us-down from the field, very weird. Like I said: an illusion. In a truly free country, nobody would have reacted or cared. It was our prerogative to sit.

The irony is that more people attend performing arts events, museums, galleries, etc., than all sports combined in the Continental United States. The majority of Americans don't bother to go to games like they did in the past, a trend that began to take-hold in the early 1990s. But don't trust me:

Our communities benefit from the presence of both the arts and sports. According to the U.S. Department of Commerce Bureau of Economic Analysis, American consumers spent more than $10 billion on admissions to performing arts events in 1997. Moreover, 1997 spending on performing events was roughly 1.6 times larger than spending on either admissions to movies or spectator sports.

American consumers have increased their spending on performing arts events by almost $2 billion, or 26%, since 1992. By contrast, admission receipts for movies and spectator sports have showed little change in the same period. Per capita spending on performing arts amounts to approximately $39 compared with $24 per person on movie admissions and $23 for spectator sports.

Another survey by the U.S. Census Bureau indicated that while 50% of U.S. adults had attended a live arts event in 1997, only 41% had attended a live sporting event. (mtn.org, 'The Arts & Sports: Apples & Oranges,' 2006?)

Current statistics show the trend continuing, with no growth in sports. Yet, what gets cut first? It's to continue our mindless warrior culture, that's certainly a part of it, and it also serves the "bread and circus" function to keep boors in-line. The other thing that's so cuddly about sports is the implicit Social Darwinism. As we all know, our hominid ancestors needed to carry a round-object to a hole, across a line, or into a hoop or basket to survive. Gimme a fuckin' break. If there were no laws and we were in that hypothetical "state of nature," I can assure you that most athletes would be dead thanks to their lack of guile and their stupidity. I would be having several of their asses before sunrise because there wouldn't be anything to stop me (or anyone else).

Why do you think the wimmen folks invented the frying-pan? Survival had everything to do with luck, ingenuity, useful random mutations, guile, better intellect, an available pool of compatible mates, imaginative agility, and a spryness that steroid-addled beefheads couldn't muster these days. Being smaller is actually better, incidentally, and most human beings were until very recently. What's more boring than watching grass grow? Sports. The late Frank Zappa felt the same way--why have loyalty to something that has none for you? Why conform to something that's empty and annoying? Why support something that a smaller-part of society enjoys? A certain kind of woman is a sports fanatic: the kind who falls-down a lot (she'll swear to it). Really, their mates never hit them, they're just clumsy. What I really get from sports today, however, is how useless the macho model of men is, and how out-of-place it is in the modern world. It fobs a model of manhood which is infantile and obsolete, a kind of warped "warrior culture" that's meeting-its-end in Iraq & Afghanistan. Fumble. And I haven't even brought-up hockey, or all those parents who attack each other at little league games...

THE RETURN OF THE UNCREDIBLE DUKE: "I don't like it, but I guess things happen that way." --Johnny Cash

So, I've been thinking about the idea of being "too judgemental." I have been, on occasion, accused of being too judgemental. This seems sort of hypocritical to me. How can you accuse someone else of being judgemental. You have to be judgemental to assess someone else's level judgementalosity, or whatever you want to call it. It's a little like saying, "no fucking cussing allowed, goddamn it!"

I'm sure some will say that it isn't the same. That it is a question of "How much?" I guess that's a judgement call. You see? You have to "judge" how much someone is being "judgemental." And whenever you judge, YOU are being judgemental. Whenever someone says you're being too judgemental, what they REALLY mean is, "stop saying facts about my butt-buddy, and pointing out terrible monsters that should be removed from society."

I don't like to talk about what is or isn't "forgivable." Anything is forgivable if you want to forgive, conversely, anything is unforgivable if you are not forgiving. Some want to hearken to a point of view that our actions are predetermined. That everything we do is chosen for us. By our genetics, by our past experiences, by our gods, by chance. Some believe it is one of these. Some believe it is a combination.

Fine. Believe what you will. BUT, if you believe that. If you believe that one shouldn't be judgemental because the actions of others aren't really up to them, then you MUST ALSO BELIEVE that the actions of the "overly judgemental," or "vindictive," or "unforgiving," are EQUALLY predestined. If you cannot hold people responsible for their actions, you also cannot hold people responsible for their REACTIONS.

Sometimes, it is appropriate to be judgemental. That is why we have prisons. Is justice dispensed equally? Obviously not. But we cannot throw out the justice system entirely. It is impossible to get justice dispensed equally. It will never happen in any system. All we can do is attempt to correct it and work on it to make it better. It already is a LOT better than it is in many places in the world. Still, if being judgemental was wrong, we wouldn't have punishment. Punishment, by the way, is not merely a way to make the guilty pay. It is also SUPPOSED to be a means to rehabilitation. This, unfortunately, doesn't often work very well in the penal system. But in every day life, it works surprisingly well.

When the guilty are made to see that their actions will not be tolerated, the great majority of folks will comply. MOST people don't want to be seen as stark raving assholes. Forcing people to see the error of their ways is HELPING them. It may piss them off. It may cause them personal and professional setbacks. But sometimes you have to re-break a bone to get it to set right. And if you don't, it won't ever be right. I like to break the bones is all. Is that so wrong? I don't mean I break bones in a literal sense, although there are the daydreams. What I mean is, I don't mind hurting someone's pride, or their feelings, or their delusions of competency [Ed.-that's "delusions of adequacy, Duke] if it means making MY life better. Or easier in some way. I mean, that's what it all boils-down-to, isn't it? How can I have things the way I want them? How can I put the screws to the other guy whilst I triumph? I use facts. And so, I guess I'm an asshole.

--The Uncredible Duke
