Is Facebook censoring Cindy Sheehan and putting out misinformation over her upcoming CIA protest at Langley?

WWW
--Either Facebook is messing-up big time (usually the case), or they're lying and telling people on their service (used on communications airspace owned by the public) that the upcoming protest by Cindy Sheehan and other activists at CIA HQ in Langley, Virginia is canceled. According to a journalist I just communicated with, it is not.

Sheehan and her people had a Facebook page up announcing the visit with a link to Googlemaps for directions (possibly from former VP Dick Cheney's property). Journalists who are attending have told me that they expect arrests even though the event itself is completely legal. We'll see, but I think the time to call the lawyers is at hand.

If Facebook has done what I think they've done, it's going to be a PR problem for them to put it mildly.

Facebook's "Event Cancelled" notice as of this evening: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=195727044034

Call for information on those pesky Libertarians...

WWW--Jaenelle Antas sated my appetite to remove these bastards once-and-for-all from any affiliation with the counterculture and the antiwar movement. I think this is very doable and I will be investing some more time in this area as I think the turds have been coming around trying (without any luck) to cause problems on this site and elsewhere. They should know that any attacks are going to be reported to law enforcement...

I've told Cindy Sheehan on her Facebook page that I thought she was making a mistake going on Alex Jones's radio program, and she was not only dismissive but made it personal. That's not a level-headed person. It helped me understand the problems that people have been talking and writing about regarding Sheehan over the last few years: the notoriety has gone to her head, and she's listening to the Sirens. The fringe-right has her ear when logic would dictate that they're part of the problem. She's fallen into the wrong side of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend." She's got it all wrong--they're part of the enemy camp on the right and some of their rhetoric has seduced her, as has issues of convenience. I hate writing any of this about her.

Meanwhile, Sheehan falls deeper-and-deeper into a depressing irrelevancy, which was probably part of the plan of some of the people currently whispering in her ear. They didn't have to try too hard considering the target. Since at least the end of the American Civil War, provocateurs and spies of capital have done these kinds of things--there is plenty of precedent here. I'm all-but-certain she's been the victim of at least a few agent provocateurs.

Why mention Jones in a call for information about Libertarians? Because he's been closely-affiliated with them and is a "self-described" part of that other branch of the Lollipop Guild of little men and women on the far right, the lunatic fringe (the public has never supported their agenda in the polls or the voting booth). Listen to him and read him enough and this is patently clear. Jones has also had Naomi Klein ("Disaster Capitalism," a book whose premise and thesis I consider to be conflated--go back to Canada) and numerous others from the progressive movement/left on his program to woo them into neutralization, a trap, and simply to feed his ratings. Surely, this is a case of mutual masturbation if ever there was one. It doesn't hurt for the target to be overambitious and egotistical. Take your pick as to which one best describes Klein and Sheehan--or some permutation of both--but they're most assuredly blowing it by associating with these people.

You don't build bridges with people who are the fringe of the wrong side of history. Considering that they have nothing to offer in numbers should be a real indicator of their standing with the public. They're not going to change, and they're not especially significant. However, these people associating them are helping to change that a little by "mainstreaming" them a tad, not that the public is even remotely ready to buy their agenda that's barely different from that of the GOP. These juvenile clowns are also trying to make inroads through the "9/11 Truth (bowel) movement," truly a gaggle of fools if ever there was one, and that's not to say there isn't a cover-up (which doesn't automatically imply an "inside job," that's someone sneaking an arch-conservative agenda through the back door).

My own take? The Bush II administration was so corrupt and incompetent (and compromised thanks to direct-ties to the Saudi ruling-class) that they blew it. It's about oil, dummies. The rest has been a cover-up to protect them and unaccountable power in Saudi Arabia, just like at home. How often do the "truthers" talk about the Saudi connection, assuredly the "foreign state" found in the 26-27 redacted pages of the 9/11 Commission's report? That's not an invitation to a debate, incidentally, I don't do those unpaid, my time's worth something.

So here's the deal: I want information--any information--that's reasonably verifiable as in the case of the Antas story. I want intelligence on the Libertarian Party in any and every state in America, and even Canada. Mmm-hmm, I want the dirt, the bad-with-the-bad, but it must be reasonably verifiable and pertinent. We all have agendas, and mine is to remove their influence from the progressive movement and the counterculture once-and-for-all, an evil thing, I know.

This isn't about money on this side of the fence, this is about fixing our nation and our culture and moving on from the myth of the Wild West and the Frontier. It's time America grew-up. Unlike Jones and Nimmo, I'm not trying to sell coffee mugs, books, quasi-racist images of the president emblazoned on t-shirts, and heavily-edited DVDs of insane ranting about the Bohemian Grove and other examples of Libertarian non-sequitur babbling. I want dirt. This is about principles, and I don't pay sources.

415-556-4862

Washington D.C./San Francisco--The number above is the office of California Rep. Nancy Pelosi. Give her hell, just none of that "socialist" shit, OK? No no silly, she's not in Palfrey's phone records, she only serviced males in Congress, heh-heh.

No, really, San Franciscans: tell her she needs to debate her opponents in the race for her congressional seat, that she's done a poor job in general and that you want her out. Now. Next month. She can tidy-up before she leaves, but out. O-u-t. Gone. Game over man, we're not letting her be in-charge anymore. Oh yeah, and let this be the last few months that this is her phone number. Time for retirement old lady.

Independent congressional candidate Cindy Sheehan being surveilled at Denver DNC convention?

Denver, Colorado--This is being reported primarily at OpEd News (OEN). Cindy Sheehan is claiming to have confronted an individual who claimed to be repairing the phone in her Hotel room. True? I doubt she's lying. Considering that the new FISA revisions recently passed make domestic surveillance of American citizens legal, it wouldn't be much of a surprise.

But would they--whoever "they" are--even need to come into her room to do this? Perhaps we have a case of bugging a room for information gathering purposes. If true, who was he working for? Mrs. Sheehan has been sending this account our in mass-e-mailings:
"As I walked toward my room, I noticed that the door was opened with the security bolt blocking the complete closing of the door. I knew immediately that I had not left the door open, and I double checked to make sure it was the right room because, as a frequent traveler, I have been known to forget my room number, but it was the right room.

I was upset at first thinking that housekeeping had made a mistake and left my room open and I was worried that something might be missing. So I walked into my room and bigger than life, there was a man standing by my desk holding the room phone with a screwdriver in his hand!

I immediately said; "What the hell are you doing? Are you putting a bug on my phone?" He looked like he got caught with his hand in the cookie jar and stammered out: "N--no, we are having problems with the phone." I told him to get out of my room because my phone was fine and I called the front desk and the person at the front desk stammered something out about "problems" with some of the phones.

This room was reserved soon after we got to Denver last night because the room we had was inadequate for 3 people. The room was reserved under my campaign manager's name with a CFC debit card. By the time we left for the march, it could have very well been ascertained that I was the one in this room, and the room we did reserve could be bugged, also. I am confident that that's what was happening when I walked in on the "maintenance" man"
(Cindy Sheehan Bugged in Denver," OEN, 08.25.2008)
Whatever was really happening, it raises some serious questions. There is the possibility that the GOP's hand is in this cookie jar, potentially to smear the Democratic Party as being behind it. Candidate Sheehan should file a police report at the very least.

Sheehan is currently running against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in her own congressional district. Considering all of the political campaign office break-ins last summer, Sheehan's assertions could be correct and troubling.

Steve Canyon, learned ("that'll learn ya'!") intellectual

Ed.--Hey kids! This really rational and intelligent fella sent me this well-reasoned piece, and I thought you'd all love a good larf. Steve's wrong, what I said in the ancient piece he read was that PACs/GOP/the Defense Dept. have had people roving the internet responding to various-points they have a problem with.

We know for a fact that the Bush administration was (is?) using military personnel to do this regarding opinions surrounding the war, and not just countering the news sites.
We know for a fact that the Pentagon had information units trawling the internet countering stories. They could easily have been responding to comments on blogs, particularly the large-ones like Huffington Post or Rawstory.

Go to the comments sections of just about any "progressive" blog or site, and you'll find the "trolls" there. Where do they come from? Surely, most of them are just really pathetic-morons with nothing to say, and too much time on their hands.
Do I think political operatives and right-wing activists have been "payed" (Steve's misspelling in another harassing e-mail he sent me) to try to counter progressive opinions and sites throughout the internet?

Consider this: Cindy Sheehan was confronted by this ilk at Arlington cemetery--sometime last year--and one of them told her "I make $60-per-hour to do this." OK, fine, it could be bullshit, but it could be real. Why do I think I know "Steve"? He's been trying to bait me into a "debate" for a few-weeks, maybe months and I haven't been biting.

Perhaps "Steve" is frustrated since his president's in so much trouble, and the GOP's poised to implode (not Alan Keyes)? I think he just needs a hug, so give him one, and be nice: insanenowchuck@yahoo.com In case you didn't notice, almost all of Steve's comments ARE CAPITALIZED TO ASSERT HIS (lack of) MANHOOD.
Since I consider his e-mails harrassment, I'm publishing his address here.

Prolix...

Dear Fuckwit.

I found your website where you post the names of the "Trolls." I want to tell you how fucking stupid you are. How can I count the ways? Let me try fuckstick:You preamble to you[r] shitstain website states:["]How-many of these people are conservative PAC-operatives? How-many of them are working-for the GOP and the Bush administration? They have all the same talking-points, sometimes before the Bush administration voices-them. This is very suspicious. If you see them on other liberal' blogs, report them to the webmaster.["]
POINT BY POINT DISECTION [SIC] OF WHY YOU ARE STUPID AND LIKELY PRONE TO SUCKING BAGS OF DICKS: How-many of these people are conservative PAC-operatives? WHY THE FUCK WOULD A CONSERVATIVE PAC PAY SOMEONE LIKE ME TO SPEW VILE RIGHT WING PARTISAN RHETORIC ON LIBERAL WEBSITES WHEN DOING SO WOULD HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO EFFECT ON CHANGING THE LIBERAL VIEWS OF ASSHATS SUCH AS YOURSELF WHO GO ON BLOGS TO POST LEFT LEANING PARTISAN RHETORIC. DOING SO WOULD SERVE NO PURPOSE OTHER THAN TO WASTE MONEY. THINK ABOUT IT SHIT STAIN. PRETTY FUCKING SIMPLE LOGIC. [Ed.-actually, no. You know why--to disrupt the dialogues already going-on at my site and others. Waste money? One word: Iraq]
How-many of them are working-for the GOP and the Bush administration? FIRST, REREAD MY CRITICISM OF YOUR FIRST POINT AS MUCH OF IT APPLIES DIMWIT. DO YOU THINK THE BUSH ADMIN IS GOING TO PAY SOME RIGHT WING HACK TO BLOG ON DAILYKOS? YOU ARE ONE SIMPLE SON OF A CUNT. AND IF THE GOP OR BUSH ADMIN DID PAY PEOPLE TO BE OPERATIVES AND POST ON LIBERAL WEBSITES, DO YOU THINK SAID OPERATIVES WOULD USE SCREENNAMES LIKE scalitofan, cheneyhastheweathermachine, and hillaryscock? YOU ARE SO FUCKING STUPID FOR THINKING SUCH THINGS. STOP SMOKING DOPE AND SUCKING COCK. [Ed.-this one's my favorite!] They have all the same talking-points, sometimes before the Bush administration voices-them. This is very suspicious. EVER NOTICE HOW THE DEMOCRAT, LEFTY, PINKO, COMMIE HACKS ALL SAY THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER? THE RIGHT HAS ITS TALKING POINTS AND SO DOES THE LEFT. YOU ARE SO FUCKING DUMB ITS RIDICULOUS. FURTHERMORE, WHY WOULD THE ADMINISTRATION OR THE GOP LEAK TALKING POINTS TO FUCKTARDS LIKE ME WHO WOULD SPEW THEM IN A VILE AND HARASSING MANNER ON SOME DIPSHIT LIBERAL BLOG. [Ed.-Hmm? Please tell us] IT WOULD LESSEN THE USEFULLNESS [SIC]OF SAID TALKING POINT. [Ed.-Which you're displaying well right now] RIGHT FUCKWIT? If you see them on other liberal' blogs, report them to the webmaster. THIS I DON'T UNDERSTAND AT ALL. YOU WANT TO LOCK YOURSELF IN A ROOM WHERE YOU HEAR NOTHING BUT YOUR OWN POINT OF VIEW REPEATED BACK TO YOU? [Ed.-Classic projection at work here...]PUSSY. DEBATE YOU LITTLE FAGGOT. DON'T FEAR FREE SPEECH OR DEBATE. IT'S WHAT AMERICA IS ALL ABOUT YOU DUMB CUNT. THE ONLY THING FUN ABOUT BLOGGING IS BANTER AND REPARTEE. EVEN IF ITS VILE AND OFFENSIVE. And finally, you are most stupid for having read all the way down to the sentence when I have call you a fuckwit, fuckstick, asshat, dimwit, a simple son of a bitch, shitstain [SIC], cunt, pussy, faggot and one prone to sucking on bags of dicks. grow some balls. AND HAVE A NICE DAY. DIMWIT.

"Steve's" what...13? I wonder why people tend to ignore him and his kind. Funny, I didn't detect any thesis in the mess he sent me. And I thought I was hearing the right's viewpoint 24/7, the majority of my adult life. Day-after-day--they they blare their vomit at the American public through their own news channels. They virtually own all of the national media (squeezing-out all the other viewpoints), and control most of our economy and political process. Yet, they just cannot seem to accomplish very much...or to lead at all.

"Steve" should start his own blog. Nobody's stopping him, but who allows some social retard to come into their home uninvited to bloviate on a bunch of twaddle? Steve, the inarticulate bozo. The interesting thing is that someone I used to work with used all of these expletives...

MOVEON.ORG, CINDY SHEEHAN, AND ME AND MY SO-CALLED BIG-MOUTH AND RUDENESS (REVISED)

"A slow bleed strategy is amazingly immoral and the people who are doing the actual bleeding don't have the last names of Clinton, McCain, Pelosi, Reed, Parisier or Mazzie."
--Cindy Sheehan

THE SO-CALLED ANTIWAR MOVEMENT--More like a bowel-movement with Moveon.org in-charge--wha? In-charge? Yup, they're the only antiwar group that Congress will meet with. So, they believe in defunding the war in Iraq, right? Wrong. Not-even-close. Not even an immediate drawdown of troops. Cindy wrote a piece that's being featured on Michael Moore's website, and it seems nowhere else. Not Huffingtonpost.com, zippo.

Cindy--and
people like myself--are the real movement, the grass-roots, but if you look at the history of progressive movements in this country, you'll find the all-too-often occurrence of upper middle-class and wealthy individuals hijacking them from the ordinary people who started them. To these establishment-types, people like myself an Cindy are "too firebrand," or "too radical."

MoveOn.org, which I recently learned was the American "anti-war" movement [Ed.-a recent NYT article stated this.], is not calling for an immediate withdrawal of US forces from Iraq, but favors a "slow bleed" strategy. MoveOn will not call for de-funding the war because they don't want to be perceived as "anti-troop" when we all know that the reich-wing has never supported our troops. The 21,500 troops who are going to be surged into Baghdad will not even have body armor until this summer. Hopefully, they can dodge the bullets and shrapnel until summer, or until MoveOn wakes up and realizes that the only way to support our troops in the field is to bring them back to the States so they don't have to worry about body armor, clean water or edible food. (MichaelMoore.com, 02.21.2007)
Oh, I still "sign" all of their petitions, but you'll never find me giving a dime to Moveon.org for the aforementioned reasons. But there's another reason. In early-June of 2006, I was invited via email as an ostensible "member" to attend a press ceremony/"protest" in-front of the office building that held the office of now-former 2nd Indiana congressional district representative Chris Chocola.

Chocola was the model for the lockstep GOP congressman, giving Bush the rubber-stamp on basically everything. MPJC had teamed-up with Moveon.org to do this, and the event was not grassroots, and was basically staged as a publicity-stunt. That's fine, but when ordinary people like myself have no say in it, what's the point?

The ostensible antiwar group I was marginally associated-with at that time was--and is--called MPJC, primarily comprised of Notre Dame University and St. Mary's faculty--hardly a shining-example of "grassroots" organizing, and basically a bunch of privileged academics and bourgies who don't have any real convictions.

It's a cold day in hell when students from Notre Dame and St. Mary's attend, and while I Many of them are tenured professors, or insulated in some form, so getting-arrested isn't any skin off of their backs--but they won't do anything.

They've never done any non-violent civil disobedience around here, they just stand on a corner every week, have some impotent meetings, and seem to be accomplishing nothing. Recently, however, they did meet with Democratic Representative Joe Donnelly, a step in the right-direction (they even asked him hard-questions). Anyway, I was willing to risk my last job if necessary, but I realized these folks aren't serious. They wouldn't have your back, and they're cold and unfriendly--not exactly the vanguard of anything.

The Moveon event was pretty lame. I literally left work on my lunch break, speeding to get there on-time. There had been no admonitions on bringing one's own sign to the event whatsoever. Did I mention I was invited by Moveon.org as a member? The event was in an open plaza in-front of the office building that housed Chocola's office, and they had "our" group in the center of the it. It's almost shaped like a stage. I arrived with my own sign--it said "Impeach Bush."

As I walked over to the MPJC folks, I was immediately accosted by a massively-busted (yeah, I know) young woman in her late-20s who told me violently that "You have to leave, this is our event." She even grabbed my arm, and stated, "Your sign is distracting from our message here. We're trying to send a message that Chocola is aiding war profiteering."

That must have been why all the signs--pre-made by Moveon.org, and imposed upon MPJC--had "Halliburton" writ-large on them. This was strange, since Halliburton and Chocola had only a meager-connection with one another. Whatever, but I was so humiliated and angry that I was shaking. The last-time I felt this was when I argued with morons during the Gulf War, and my involvement against that war went so far as to earn me death-threats.

The harpie continued: "You're going to have to leave." "I'm not leaving," I said, and shot-back: "Is this private property that you own?" She wouldn't answer me, and kept invading my personal space. Things continued to get ugly, and it finally ended with her and I agreeing that I wouldn't be in all the group-shots. "You can't stand with them," she said so warmly that I could feel the chill and see my own breath. It lasted no more than a minute, but it was incredibly emotional and ugly.

A journalist from the South Bend Tribune was standing 3-feet from us as it occurred, and asked me, "Are you two on the same side? What was that about?" "Yes, and I don't understand what just happened to me," I replied. He took my name, and I thanked him for his professionalism. "Well, sometimes, a degree in journalism comes-in-handy!" he smiled. I smiled too, but I was still shaking and furious.

MPJC has an email-list for its members and auxiliaries. I sent an email to all of them, and was immediately told that the event both "didn't happen", and "was nothing much." That was from the wife of one of the group's founders, a private physician no-less. The insensitivity was so great that I let them all have a piece of my mind on the issues of what happened, and why they were wrong. I wish I had quit then, but I remained for three-more-months, a regrettable decision. Frankly, groups like MPJC need to dissolve to be replaced by real grassroots ones comprised only of working-class individuals who have come there spontaneously as I had.

These kind of people are the ilk that legends like Rosa Luxembourg, the Knights of Labor, the IWW ("wobblies"), people who fought and died for the 8-hour-day, the unionist movement, anonymous civil rights workers, and all the other grassroots progressives of the last 150-years would have shrugged-off: they are counterrevolutionaries who want to control our movements to preserve their petty-privileges. They are cowards. Whether they know it or not, they're part of the problem and need to be jettisoned from any and all leadership positions in what little there is of an American antiwar and progressive movement. The place that it really shines is the internet, but try telling the bourgies this.

They are basically worthless roadblocks that should be removed, but I personally believe that events will become so desperate that they're going to be rolled-over anyway--a situation of their own making. Radical-actions and ideas are required. Serious inquiries only. If people like the MPJC leadership had been in-charge of the Civil Rights movement, Blacks would still have separate bathrooms, and be riding in the back of the bus. Quit fooling yourselves, and reflect that the main-reason few are joining you on your corners is because they intuitively know bullshit when they see it.

Caveat emptor,
another dead hand. And don't give any money to Moveon.org if you believe in grassroots politics that are genuine, because that's not what they're about at all. It would be better spent on porn and beer. God bless Cindy Sheehan. Get out of our movement, you're only fooling yourselves, comfortable people. Now, give me a good-paying goddamned job to-boot.

The Real Deal: http://www.gsfp.org/

PS: The South Bend Tribune never covered the incident. Draw your own conclusions.

02.24.2007: I should add that the sign I was carrying ("Impeach Bush") was provided to myself by MPJC . There was nothing in the Moveon emails, or MPJC emails that said, "don't bring a sign, they will be provided." This omission confused a few dummies at the DailyKos. But why should they provide signs? What does that have to do with a "grassroots" movement? That's a top-down approach, which is the core-problem facing this nation. It stinks of stage-managing and authoritarianism. I'd say, "save your money," but I know you will anyway. Let thy conscience be salved, give it directly to Cindy and the Gold Star Mothers.

Bush Admits CIA Prisons Exist, Farts, Then Kills Journalist with Dirtbike

Our CIA prisons: It's true, they exist, but only when the mainstream media reports George W. Bush saying it. Never mind that the blogs and the rest of the internet were reporting this story for months, and forget about the fact that the "host" countries were discovering and reporting them, there are no CIA prisons unless we tell you.

The whole affair is a violation of several treaties signed by the United States, including the UN Charter on Human Rights, but will anyone be prosecuted? We'll see, we're still waiting for some action on the roving wiretaps at the NSA. Since Arlen Specter promised hearings and an investigation in February, we should see a serious investigation on the scale of the Warren Commission in 2025. As we know, it could only have been Lee Harvey Oswald, acting alone, who shot President Kennedy from the School Book Depository. [Ed., 09.21.2008--Something authors Dan Moldea and Bill Keisling believe, amazing.]

Pay no attention to the Grassy Knoll. I guess the wheels of government turn-slowly, especially when one's own party is losing-power and influence because the major-players are too incompetent to take a bribe discretely (like Spiro Agnew). When-in-doubt, it's best to classify everything!

It appears that today, action is coming for the wiretaps: GOP-drafted pap that basically accomplishes roughly the same terms as FISA! Fearing they won't be re-elected, a few members of the Senate Judiciary Committee are breaking-ranks with other Republicans. They want to tighten controls and increase oversight on the NSA program. This is going even further than Arlen Specter wanted, and
we can assume, much to his chagrin. There are at least four competing intelligence oversight bills now! This is funny:
In July, Specter announced what he called "a major breakthrough" when he presented legislation backed by the White House that would allow the administration to submit the NSA's warrantless wiretapping program to a secret intelligence court for review of its legality. Under the bill, the secret court that now administers surveillance under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act would be permitted to review the legality of the program as a whole and not individual wiretaps, which could continue without warrants. (Washington Post, 9/06/06)http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/09/05/AR2006090501136.html
The ACLU and even high-level Democrats say this is rewarding the President for violating FISA. Well duh. Meanwhile...meanwhile, nothing. The American anti-war movement seems content at little-or-no-movement. Maybe a bowel-movement, but nobody's getting very creative of doing things that are effective and actionable.

Come on, the Quakers can't save the world alone, Jesus. Where are the arrests? Where is the civil disobedience? Apparently, things are so tight economically, that those risks are scarier. Will we do something once we've lost everything? I doubt it, but surely there is a point where people are going to truly get it, and begin disobeying.

We should have rampant general strikes over the revelations of Bush administration criminality--as it would have happened under Nixon--but nada, feh. Bleah. It seems that Dick Cheney's head would have to split-open with hundreds of demons streaming-out for people to understand he's an evil president. Speaking of that, I've heard Bush is a breath-away from the Presidency.

To be fair, there have been massive demonstrations against the war, and the media has done her usual job of purposefully under-counting it, flat-out lying about the numbers, enacting selective-coverage, and many times, no coverage at all. Cindy Sheehan and the Gold Star mothers have been doing some real actions, and I applaud them. I always appreciate people honking in-approval when our group is out with our signs, but why not pull-over and join-up?

It has happened, but it should happen more. But the rest of you: WTF? Are you cowards? Are you lazy? Stupid? What's the problem? Get off your asses like you all should have done in 2000, and take your country back. Show people what Americans are really made-of, besides talk.
