There's a cunning and ruthlessness that isn't really matched by American spy agencies, contrary to popular belief. Americans are naive in comparison, even in our intelligence community. <BR/><BR/>What we're seeing is a close analog to the run up to WWI and its aftermath. After WWI, American and British interests were fighting over the bones, trying to get to those same coveted oil fields, such as those at Baku. Nothing's changed.<BR/><BR/>Nonetheless, most of the world's intelligence community are the same players who just work for the highest-bidder, or those with the keys to keep most operatives from the jail cells most of them belong in.
