He's a canary in a coalmine. He found himself in a spotlight, and it probably makes him sick! AJ is great, but he is just as crazy as Zimmy. It's almost like Spy Vs. Spy. I love them both!ChuckDeluisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17692711384769956869noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32294008.post-7938736856034970532012-04-04T15:44:37.382-04:002012-04-04T15:44:37.382-04:00Matt -- Thanks for reminding me I do have blog tha...Matt -- Thanks for reminding me I do have blog that sorely needs updating! He was a Midwesterner first, like me, we get him better than you, those of us who can actually think here. Plenty of the mindless where you live too, thanks for reminding me.

All that aside, I love Dylan's best work, but my love isn't blind. Frank Zappa was right to slam him by the late 70s, it was apt. He told Dylan he should have Giorgio Moroder produce his record instead of him, Frank.

Weberman's stance on Israel aside, he's essentially correct about the old punk and former junkie who claimed he never wanted such fame, but in reality went for the geld every single time. Ask Joan Baez, he made all kinds of crass comments. If you aren't going get it after that sixties documentary about him, forget it, you're a cult member, it's a religion in an age of disbelief to deify such a yokel turd as Zimmerman.Matt Janovichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02700158612127533221noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32294008.post-39636737903174573742012-04-03T14:32:23.871-04:002012-04-03T14:32:23.871-04:00This is one of the inanest and badly written thing...This is one of the inanest and badly written things I've ever read about Dylan, and there's plenty of competition for that "honor." Write a tune 1/10,000th as good as "Wiggle Wiggle" and then get back to me.

Btw, what do yippies have to do with anything. especially Dylan?Mickey Bitskohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02631234693487856805noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32294008.post-75788464605701942612012-04-03T03:30:20.742-04:002012-04-03T03:30:20.742-04:00By the way: grow a pair of balls one day and post ...By the way: grow a pair of balls one day and post under your own names, cowardly lions. Yes, he did change music, he deserves that credit.

To be frank, I think more highly of Dylan than most of his fans, and he's been lying his ass off about heroin for decades, it's a fact that was finally established last year.

So, yeah, it's really the fans who deified him who are to blame here, people like you turds.

Also, no one's trying to take away his musical merit ultimately, that's your contention, that I wrote that or that Weberman did, I don't believe that's remotely accurate, but project away...

Oh, and Jonradickface: quit jerking off to Dylan records, you might end up in the basement, workin' for the gub'ment. No obsession here, I've just been tired of assholes like you braying about how "wonderful" he is when in actuality there's a shitload better out there, fuck you very much. He DID write lyrics that changed the course of popular music. He DID perform in a way that took popular music performce to a whole new level. And hes rejected the "voice of a generation" crap since it started. None of that is a lie.

Cry all you want about his motives, lies, shifts...whatever. Im content to just enjoy the mans music. Seems to me its all you folks that want so badly to somehow knock him down that have the obsession...I just love his music.jonra2012noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32294008.post-77328701005927087622012-04-02T15:17:00.493-04:002012-04-02T15:17:00.493-04:00Bob Said "I kicked a heroin habit in New York...Bob Said "I kicked a heroin habit in New York City...." Then there's all the stories--even recent ones--of him being stoned out of his mind to the point that he's nodding off in public, at concerts, awards shows, etc.

The fact is that Weberman was right and was treated like crap for telling the truth. You may not agree with his interpretation of the lyrics in most cases which is fine, but he's done the research and been witness to quite a lot.

Opinions are like assholes.Matt Janovichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02700158612127533221noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32294008.post-12574773766267356102012-01-11T08:32:31.722-05:002012-01-11T08:32:31.722-05:00http://www.facebook.com/groups/edlis.cafe/permalin...http://www.facebook.com/groups/edlis.cafe/permalink/310427788995760/Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
